Love Alton Brown, grew up with Good Eats. Also showed his stuff as a sub teacher to high school kids and they seemed to enjoy it. Glad to see him on YouTube.
I appreciate you picking a reasonably priced liquor as your recommendation. I feel all too often cocktail recipes on youtube include obscure or very expensive brands.
I love your editor. Also, I grew up watching you hosting Good Eats and Iron Chef America with my parents when I was younger. Yiou are a big part of my love for cooking. I wish I could've seen the show with the both of them, but for one: I'm broke, and for two: sadly, my mom died in January of this year due to cancer. Thank you for being you and still being the fabulous cooking show host I grew up watching and idolizing.
When i'm out and about my friend often presents me with a margarita from one particular bar that makes me recoil after sipping it.
I call it the Toilet Duck margarita.
I always presumed it was made with one of those squeezy plastic limes you used to see in the UK around shrove Tuesday (well, the Jif lemon. Albeit, i assume there is also….a Jif LIME! 😱).
Shoddy margarita then, from a hooky bar. Case closed.
Only…i have since noticed a certain toilet duck note in my own margarita…
I presumed it was the limes. But on squinting a bit whilst i tasted one….its that bloody cointreau!
Its too astringent and not sweet. 22.5ml is too much.
45ml is too little liquour.
And it needs syrup.
So the classic 2:1:1 margarita mix i would describe as unbalanced. And also "gacky", a word all British people know to be a very specific form of unpleasant.
Yes!!!!! Thank you for mentioning the late, Great Val Kilmer!!!!! The world is a sadder place without his existence. And thank you for mentioning his best performance as Doc Holliday. I must say he is the best one yet.
I previously only knew AB from his overly fussy eggnog recipe, but I do love these videos. I have heard many stories about how the Margarita got its name but this one makes the most sense.
What is the preferred Brandy? Can I use Hennessy, as cognac is a type of brandy? It's what I have in the house, but I'll go buy something differently if I have to.
I miss Good Eats. Glad you’re back. My oldest son is now a chef at an upscale restaurant, and my other 2 sons are excellent cooks for their wives. All thanks to you. I’d give them ingredients from your shows & they’d cook alongside in their easy bake oven

I enjoyed the whole episode, but particularly enjoyed the throw-back Batman wipe screen!
Did not expect the rimming jokes, ha!

Love it I already watched all the new good eats on HBO max
Gonna need to hear more about that pancake syrup
George Clooney Casa Amigo. You will never drink anything else
😢 Why no live Dallas show?
Man Alton is an espolon fan!, I’ve been watching you since I was a kid. I’m 38 now, I knew I was right to like you.
1:44 no worries, we trust the process 👍
0:17 anyone else thought this ep would be about the other "M" (moonshine)?
I read "Alton Brown makes booze" from the thumbnail very differently 😅
I remember the days when you couldn't even use the brand name of Ritz crackers on your shows. Thank you for doing this Alton
Looking forward to the Utah tour stop 🥺👉👈
Fry some more.
I’m so happy Alton is back with these mini good eats
Very good sir!

In which Alton makes jokes about licking butt holes 🤣 I love unfiltered AB

Unhinged Alton is best Alton
Get it Alton
Will this orange liquor technique work with limoncello?
Grand Marnier and a sourer mix it is. kirkland bags are the best honestly. costco does it again,
thats why we double strain to remove ice chips
It's great that you are still entertaining us here on YouTube even if you are not on tv anymore.
I'm with you on this.

if its brown put it down…..or drink.
was that Xicaru you reached for for? Freudian slip, because mezcal margarita are superior over simple tequila.
Bless You Alton!

I learned that margarita meant daisy a few weeks ago and was wondering this, unbelievable
Love Alton Brown forever! Have all of the Good Eats dvd’s. The sous vide he used for margaritas what is the brand and model?
The thumbnail looks like a goldfish in a sous vide
One of several things I learned back in the eighties was not to drink tequila…………ever. Thirty years later and I still can’t stand the smell.
your choice of tequilla sucks. Espelon is full of ADDITIVES, and therefore is NOT 100% de agave….
my god, my strunk ass has gone affectionately to upvote at least 3 times (and i'm only 2/3 of the way thru) but the button has always been white 😌
Dam you Alton Brown. Spent my Saturday making orange liqueur. 😂
I LOVE how you threw in my favorite movie of all time!
My Dad brought Tombstone to my hospital room as a kid when my tonsils got removed.
I love the way you teach
13:21 😅

Anybody have a good recommendation on where to get or how to make that bitter orange peel?
