Christmas Cornflake Wreath Treats

These are a tradition for many families during the holidays and once you see how easy they are to make, hopefully they’ll become a tradition for yours too for years to come! Similar to rice kripsie treats, these no-bake treats are super easy to make and are a kids favorite!

What you’ll need:
1/4 cup butter or margarine
4 cups (10oz pkg) mini marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 cups unfrosted cornflake cereal
red mini M&M’s or cinnamon red hot candies

In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter or margarine. Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until melted. Once melted, turn off heat and add in vanilla extract and food coloring. Stir to incorporate. Add in cornflakes and carefully mix until well combined. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a silicone baking mat or waxed paper or foil that’s heavily sprayed with nonstick spray. Wet your fingers and shape into wreaths with a hole in the center. Add M&M’s or red hots. Let cool completely and store in an airtight container separated by layers of waxed paper to prevent them from sticking to each other. Makes (8) 3-1/2″ wreath treats. Enjoy!!

MICROWAVE instructions: In a large bowl, heat butter or margarine for 30 seconds to a minute or until melted. Add in mini marshmallows and heat again for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning or scorching. Once melted completely, continue with instructions above. Enjoy!!
