Mendy’s in NYC is one of the most underrated Jewish delis in NYC. It’s biggest claim to fame though is for being referenced in Seinfeld. The Seinfeld Mendy’s episode I say more so referenced Mendy’s, rather than portrayed it, as it was portrayed as a fine dining sit-down restaurant rather than a takeout Jewish deli. Still, Mendy’s is far from just a Seinfeld restaurant. It’s actually one of the top delis in NYC in my opinion!
We tried a few items from Mendy’s, such as brisket on rye, pastrami on rye, and of course, the Mendy’s soup. It’s all about that soup right? As Jerry claimed a soup is not a meal, so I needed to see for myself if soup is a meal at Mendy’s. This restaurant may be mentioned primarily alongside Seinfeld, but I do believe it is one of the best Jewish delis in Manhattan, if not one of the best Jewish delis in New York in general, and I can’t wait to bring you all along!

Great to see there’s another contender for top delis in NYC. My last trip down, I kinda felt like Katz’s has gone the route of a tourist trap and that it’s not quite as it used to be. Will definitely have to try Mendy’s next time I’m there!
Almost $32 Canadian dollars for a pastrami sandwich?!?!? A smoked meat sandwich, here in Montreal, is $16 CAD!!! $12 USD. Come to Montreal everyone!

So, for people who have been watching for a while, do we think the extreme awkwardness and redundancy while also preaching about his 10 hour days of editing is intentional ragebait/engagement?? Or just a happy hilarious accident??
It was expected that you’d score some comments about your asking about shellfish. UA, don’t take it to heart. As a fan of Jewish delis, you might want to learn just a little about what constitutes kosher menus. (Katz is not Kosher, Mendy’s is.). Love your videos. I happen to keep Kosher, and don’t eat most of what’s on your plate – but still watch your videos.

Yeah, "great" brisket along with a sh-tload of 1 star reviews on Yelp. That's means that it is overrated by you, not "criminally underrated" by everyone else.

If you're reviewing food, please remember to use proper terminology! You ordered gumbo but kept calling it soup. If this is your job, you need more training. This video was 25+minutes with maybe 3 minutes of food footage. Mostly just you talking, stammering, repeating yourself and unsuccessfully trying to be funny. Let's try a silent food review!
Those prices are absolutely nuts. And the food looked extremely mid to be honest. Mustard on that gross looking brisket… The soup looked decent at least

UA, the next time you're in the Montreal area, come to the south shore. There's a poutine place here that's know as one of the best in Quebec. Gregoires it's called. It's in Mercier on the south shore.
They slice their cheese curds and it's delicious. But, you can get regular cheese curds if you prefer those. Just have to ask. But, if you truly want to experience a good poutine that isn't La Banquise, go to Chez Gregoires. It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth it.
Come back to Toronto and try Wolfie’s or Pancer’s Deli. Both have been around around forever and are both iconic Jewish deli’s.

🤩🤩that soda would taste much better and would be much more refreshing if it had not 42 sugar but 22 sugar and not corn trash syrup but cane sugar demoncratic brands turned everything to trash with their corn trash syrup and tons of sugar crazy fools i have to do 50/50 with plain club any soda all ther junk to make it taste best all the time but thats ok i make more soda this way also last longer
