Trying Every Restaurant on the NYT 2025 Top 100 List – Mam

Mắm has been on The New York Times Top 100 list for consecutive years and I completely understand why. Everything feels incredibly authentic from the food to the seating and it really offers a full experience. Some of my favorites were the snails, eggplant, and chicken cartilage, and I love that the menu rotates seasonally so there’s always something new to try.

  1. Vietnamese cuisine is the best in the world. Second to none. Wish more of their restaurants didn’t serve the same 12 items though lol.

  2. I don't think you need to worry about apologising so much for pronunciations. The most important thing is that you try. I always see creators either using Americanised names, or saying e.g. "its like a Vietnemese burger/hotdog etc" or just not trying at all, which to me shows an unwillingness to take five seconds to google and practice pronunciation and engage with other cultures and languages. So it's great to see you try with the actual names of dishes instead of not trying at all, and anyone who 'flames' you just needs to get offline 🙂

  3. when the interior is hostel/saw like and there are weird little metal tables that you don’t even know where they got it, you know the food is about to hit

  4. New York Times just needs to just hire her and we can get a list from NYC #1 food content creator…..
