Just a hundred rupees for a full day of food in Dehradun sounded almost impossible, but I still decided to try it as part of my 28 Weeks 28 States journey across India. The idea was simple. Eat real local food across the day without crossing the budget and see if the city actually delivers.

I started with the famous chole katlambe, moved on to a comforting rajma rice plate from a street cart that honestly felt like proper ghar ka khana, then stopped at Ellora Bakery for their chocolate date baklava before wrapping the day with hawker style veg chow mein from a food truck.

Challenges like this remind me how strong street food culture is across India. Simple food, honest flavours and proper value for money. Dehradun made this one fun.

    I am from dehradun try (Samjhna Restaurant) in Garhi Cantonment, Garhi Cantt all menu very good taste and spicy also
