  3. Actually, Lok Lak is a Khmer dish but it is not Khmer national dish. Fish Amok "Amok Trey" is a Khmer national dish. The beef skew is called "Sach Ko Ja Kak", and it gets its unique flavor from lemongrass paste "Kroeung". Khmer dishes are not well known to public but it is very tasty and healthy too. It's starting to get some recognitions these days. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Great video!

  5. What i saw is most are Thai foods that influenced to cambodia after Khmer Rouge genocide, that millions of cambodian came to work in the world famous Thai restaurants. Even restaurants in US run by Cambodians add their names with Thai foods‼️ the reason is simple that if restaurants presents Khmer food, no one eats it.

  6. Funfacts: beef lok lak is believed to have originated in vietnam and is brought over by the french, thus the heavy association with kampot pepper. Papaya salad has different variations in Thai, Cambodia, and Lao. Many think its Thai food but it actually came from Lao. Lort cha which a lot of people think is Vietnamese is actually Cambodian. And lok lak is not Cambodia's national dish, Its fish amok, but most Cambodians believe Somlor korko should be the National dish. Fish amok is believe to made a national dish because it was royalty food and its easier for foreigners to palate.

  7. u need to put the sweet sour chili sauce on the Lok Cha..and the Lok La they forget to give you the Salt Black Pepper and Lime sauce to dip the protein into
