I had a question about filming inside of the restaurant. Do you always ask for permission before filming the inside or do you ask for permission to publish? I want to film my adventures in Japan but want to avoid coming off as impolite.
Can anyone explain the nutritional problem with cooking in fat? Like its literally a plate of vegetables. Yes, each strand of plant is covered in grease, but each strand of plant has barely any surface area. Does one really consume that much fat?
There's this place at the mall that has "Japanese" food. It's probably loosely based on Japanese food, but I get the beef teriyaki and it comes with a pile of veggies and rice and it's very tasty.
I think the key is they walk everywhere and even with their junk food they don't exceed 3000 calories (which sounds like a lot, but then you see what Americans get)
Ok but consider the most unhealthy thing in Japan isnt nearly as bad as the stuff in others places which probably why the misconception exists. Im looking at you deep fried butter.
Yasae is Japanese for 'vegetable'? If so, it's very similar to the Korean yachae. I know there are a few words that are similar (or the same, like the word for library) across the two but didn't know that one.

Does this count as a vegetarian dish??😂
Healthy? Debatable. Will I still eat a kilo of vegetables prepared like this over the Sysco-flavored burger and fries next to my work? Yes, every time
Great quality though and I'd say VERY tasty as well
South Carolina mention???
I used to think that Japanese people were so healthy because of their diet, but wathing JE videos has me questioning that notion.
That looks like a top tier bulking meal.
What is the Japanese version of the heart attack grill? Or is the franchise there?
Huh, I've been making something similar recently (cabbage and onion is cheap 😅) and this gives me some new seasoning ideas 🤔

I saw your mum today and told her you ate a plate of veggies, she was happy for you :]
❤
It's like cooking collards in pork I guess 😂
Sometimes I picture an elderly former restaurant owner and his kitchen robot sitting and reminiscing about the old days.
Extra butter? Paula Dean would approve 🥲🧈🧈🧈

It’s healthy because they don’t use chemicals in place of flavor
Not always healthy but guarantee fills up your stomach

And it's still good for you because not a single one of those stuff is not something that you shouldn't be consuming.
My brother that looks absolutely incredibly delicious
❤
I can't help but imagine the most brutal call-out when you got your dish to justify the Zil-Bel sounds.
"LAUGH AND GROW FAT!! BLEAGH!!!"
As someone who prefers to not eat vegetables despite being an adult, I REALLY WANT THAT
"I just ate a bunch of pineapple 😮…😶 My mouth and lips are on fire.. one of the only fruits that The more you eat of it.. The more it eats of you."~
Wait a minute… I thought that slab was tofu!?

Didn't expect a SC mention in this short
Goated South Carolina reference
They are healthy enough to eat unhealthy food perhaps.
my gastroenterologist would probably be angry if he knew I watched this
Seed oils are heart healthy?
So you are eating vegetables sautéed in vegetable juice.
This gives me an idea what to cook for tomorrow's dinner.
You’re right on time…it’s about 11pm in Nashville 😴
Jumpscare by the South Carolina mention. 😅 Definitely wasn't on my bingo card.
The leading cause of colon cancer is a lack of butyric acid, butyric acid helps to regenerate the colon, and it’s found primarily in butter
Is it healthier than American food… yes…it have to be yes
Didn't know they had butter in Japan.
