  1. Great video as usual Rich. I was on the Allura in Charleston SC a little more than a week ago when my travel adviser arranged a group tour. We had a presentation in the theater alomg with an offer to do a future booking certificate with discounts. We were then given deck plans maps and turned loose to see the ship for ourselves. Then a lovely luch in the MDR and excellent choices for the meal. I, of course, went for the miso sea bass and it was as good as it ever is, just fantastic. All in all, about 4 1/2 hours for the tour and lunch and I signed up for the future cruise as well.

  3. As always, excellent video. Very pleased to see your written disclosure regarding the invitation to travel with Oceania at, presumably, no cost. Your channel has grown over the past years as a reliable and factual asset for people looking to cruise – whether for the first time or fiftieth. The quality of your videos has meant that you seem to be transiting from vloggers to cruise travel journalists. Much like the traditional media, there should be no difficulty, or hesitation, in stating very clearly in the description, as you have, and at the beginning of a video that you're trip was sponsored by the company concerned. This is only fair to video producers who do not partake in such offers. There is plenty of space for both types of media. Personally, I think your reporting and response to comments on videos is fair and unbiased and I look forward to your future reports.

  4. The food and venues look amazing, I'm not too sure some are to our taste however with the wide variety it looks like we could certainly find places to enjoy 😊.
Oceania price point are just to high on UK based departures, nice to see the other side 👍

  5. Yes it does years ago after several other Cruiseline’s indifferent offerings we sailed in the Regatta. Our 1st meal was at Polo Grill. Having finished my wonderful lobster the waiter addressed me by name and 21:36 21:36 asked if I’d like another! 17 cruises later I tread that moment but it competes with my dozens of Miso Glazed Sea Bass dishes from Red Ginger.

  6. Richard! You are a star. Wonderful commentary, amazing videography. Great balance.

I’m booking Oceania, after my next Regent in March ‘27

  7. Thanks for the thorough and unbiased video. My first Oceania cruise will be this summer on Regatta. I know we won't have as much choice of restaurants, but still looking forward to it.

  8. I LOVE your dining guides!!! I am obsessed with Asian food so I have to ask: Who has the better Asian specialty restaurant: Regent or Oceania?
Rich, do you seriously not like blue cheese?!!!! 🤣🤣

  9. That looks like some very fine and delicious food. Even the buffet looks like fine dining. The Polo Grill would my favourite as I love my red meats, though I love my burgers also, so Waves Grill would be getting a good workout too . Nothing wrong with your humour Rich, I often get a good chuckle from your witty turn of phrase.

  10. Excellent food photography (videography). I bet you could even make something I cobbled together in the kitchen to look presentable

  11. Absolutely the best coverage of cuisine in Allura, the production values and comentary were far above the others. I think your comments were fair and helpful. Thank you.

  12. Going in with “The Best” expectations is always hard. I found that whenever i eat something that says it’s the best, i am almost always dissapointed.

  13. Thank you Rich and Helen for the video! Our experience on Nautica was not nearly as spectacular – it was just slightly above average. In fact, some dishes were poorly executed and tasteless even in Toscana and the Polo Grill. We left very disappointed. BUT, the overall service on Oceania was excellent. Yes, we are considering another cruise but it will be on one of the newer ships.
