Finding a BRITISH Restaurant TRAPPED in the 1970’s!

This is VLOG 1 of my new series “Dine Through Time” where I discover a restaurant in a small village that is unchanged since the late 1970s early 1980s! The decor, menu, food is still the same as when it first opened, with dessert trolleys and tableside cooking.

New VLOG in this series out every Monday 4pm.

  1. There's something utterly delightful about these nostalgic spots. I also much prefer these videos over the trend of `visiting the worst *`.

  2. Fantastic.when our son's..now..in their 40's..😉.. were young..we used to frequent a restaurant near us much like this..I'm talking 1970's..😮🤭..and at the end of lunch service..if we were lucky..the waiter would give multiple taster servings of remaining sweet treats..such a personal thing to do..caused great excitement for the kids..this vlog was a delight to watch..thanks to yourself and the very lovely Tony..🤗👌💐

  3. Supreme! Loved watching this and felt there in spirit. I have saved for future reference. Honestly, so many memories evoked. Inspirational, I will definitely be having Parma ham and melon very soon. Everything was so dreamy, thank you.

  4. Robbie – so impressed with your channel and reviews and in this instance the two Tony's who jointly run this amazing place (Toby Cottage Restaurant) – in all honesty I would have scored it 9.99 on the food – love you mate.

  5. How delightful and charming. I loved the theatre of the food being cooked in front of you. The staff show us how in a crazy world of fast paced living, there’s still little lesser known gems like this out there. Part of me wants to visit this place, and also I wouldn’t want the place to be bombarded by masses of curious people. Its charm is because it’s so traditional, and the staff’s manners are so impeccable and sincere…. and that sweet trolley was an absolute joy to look at. I travel a lot for work with my husband, we go all over the uk. This gorgeous little place is going on my bucket list. If I visit just once, I’ll be very happy. ❤

  6. Robbie you have hit on a wonderful series of nostalgia for myself. Brit watching from canada 🇨🇦 ❤ excited to see the next episode. ( PLEASE hype the video.)

  7. I trained using gueridon trolleys, duck presses etc, I trained as a chef but also in the restaurant using silver service I wish more restaurants would re-adopt the old ways of service
