Do you still eat out at restaurants?
Pizza… Years ago. 2016.. I was that a friend's house. Call the local pizza shop. I couldn't believe the price. For two pies. Two toppings. It was $50. The young man that delivered them.
Try to keep $20 as a tip. I was like yo yo yo. The pizza shop is literally 7 city blocks away. It is right around the corner.
Right then and there. I put my foot down. I said well this will be the last time..
Don't worry I will come prepared next time.
I went to my girlfriend's house 3 hours before. I brought everything I needed. We made our own pizza dough.
I have my own Stone and everything. We had all kinds of different pizzas. That $50.. I use for all kinds of really good toppings.
And we had pizza dough to freeze. Garlic knots. And everyone was like. Oh my God this is so good.
I showed them three different styles. We even made focaccia bread.
It was fun.
No longer did we pay for pizzas.
Although. My son loved this one pizza place. It's a local place. They have specialty type pizza. Their Pizza is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is cooked on a stone. It gets the Char and flavor that just melts. The umami gods are giving 😂🎉…
We saved that for specialty nights. When he would do something in school. And we would celebrate that evening with a dinner.
Absolute anything that is in a restaurant I can make. I'm an extremely good cook. So good. That if we eat a meal and it's bad. My family is like oh you're going to make this. Absolutely. And I love the palette of the world. I do not eat just regular meals. I'm not a traditional person by any means. I love making things by scratch and making it a thousand times better.
Like my husband. I learned his mother's favorite recipe she made for him. But I scaled each one of them up. So much so. The pallet. Oh that pallet was mine! 🫡🥴❤️🔥 As a matter of fact. My husband went on strike..
😂 When I first met him he was so cute saving money cooking dinners. Don't worry he still took me out..
But I am a homebody. I am more impressed with what you can do. Not what you can pay for.
I got tired of the different proteins yet same flavor profile. And a woman can only handle so many canned peas. Oh my goodness it makes my teeth go yikes. 😅😬😣🤪 So the first meal I made for my husband. It was herb crusted feel with a mustard cream sauce fancy smashed garlic potatoes which has two different types of garlic. Grilled veggies with a balsamic sauce. And I made a simple tiramisu. Very easy.
My husband was like. What restaurant did you get that from. I didn't. He ran around to see if he can find the containers. And I laughed at him and said you can find the receipt in the trash. And all of the stuff from the grocery store what are you doing? He realized oh my God you can cook?
Like a restaurant?!!!?
I laughed and said yes. Literally I started cooking when I was three. At the stove by the time I was five. I mastered a steak within a year. My stepdad was really shocked about that. I mastered my own red sauce madanad marinara. I mastered seafood and cream sauce oh goodness by 6 years old. The very first thing I ever cooked was pastina eggs with garlic lemon I love baby shrimp with it and Parmesan. Mmm and have a side of crisp cold garlic broccoli. Makes my mouth salivate. 😅
My husband fell hard. And I could understand why he went on strike. I love cooking. And it was my pleasure to bring his palette an incredible array of food.
My mother says it has to be in my blood. It is. It truly is. I am Moroccan Italian and german. I truly fall to the side of cooking not baking. I love fat and protein.
And when you leave my table. You will have to unbutton a few buttons. I will fill you with love and good food. Hopefully fill your ears with good chatter.
Food to me is important. It is meant to be shared. It is meant to be something that brings us together. Turn your back on the restaurants. Listen up. Start having dinners with your neighbors. Do block parties this summer. Make it easier on each other. Seriously… We will own nothing and we will be happy. No we will not. It's time for us to turn our backs on every elitist.. it's time to get our foods from different sources as well. R a w m i l k d o t c o m. Look that up on another search engine DuckDuckGo Foxfire anything else. Don't bother with google. They will trip you up every time you try to put in your zip code. Look it up on another search engine.
Put in your zip code. They have meat milk eggs and more. It's time for us to turn our backs on everything that they are forcing upon us.
There are flour sources without pesticides. Do you research. You can find it. Time to learn how to make your own bread too. Especially if you are a carb eater and your body is okay with those. Start supporting the farmers at the source. They need it so bad. Come on society you can do it. I know you can. Put your will there. Wherever your will is that is your way. So don't stand in your own way. And let's start taking care of each other. Watching out for each other. Helping each other. Time for us to get down to brass tacks.
So many of us can cook better than many restaurants as well.. drop these people like a hot potato. We don't matter. So they don't matter.
Cyberpunk 2077 is right
My local shawarma place charges $18 for a chicken plate that will feed me very well twice. I share 20% of it with my pup.
I usually tip $3.
Antitrust laws are supposed to stop things like the Sysco and restaurant depot merger…
I grew up working in restaurants. 25 years in.
I never go to eat.
The rich are refusing to take pay cuts or go without a raise and everything is more expensive…so they just sacrifice quality to stretch it out while STILL raising the prices…it’s to the point we cook better at home lmao….u gotta be lazy or just can’t cook in order to wanna eat out 💯
To be fair Republicans warned Democrats if they Jack the minimum wage for entry-level jobs to $15 this would happen and Democrats responded with people need a livable wage now Democrats want to raise minimum wage to $30 so get used to prices going higher next time they get in power. When I was 16 these restaurant jobs were entry-level jobs for high school kids or young people going to college but now you have losers trying to raise families by working at McDonald's or other restaurants like it everything Democrats touch turns to s*** including the cities they run
Military Pay has doubled in the past 20 years. It wouldn’t go up unless costs are going up. People aren’t crazy.
To the wait staff: you lost your tip and I won't be returning, bye-bye.
Okay. I'll ask.
How many of these restaurants have to pay $15 to $20 an hour to their employees because of government mandates? How about mandatory insurance (yes, the customers pay it whether the business tells you or not)? Brandon Johnson wants to end tipping. Vote for these self-serving politicians, and you have to pay the price.
BRO, how did you become a Newcastle fan?
I only see this stuff on YouTube, whenever I go out IN THE REAL WORLD, restaurants and fast food chains are COMPLETELY PACKED! None of them I actually see are empty. 🤦🏽♂️
Its not just that is expensive. The quality of food is not worth it and the service is not great and they expect 20% to 25% tip. Although I'm blessed to afford it, i feel like we are being played and I don't like it. So no more.
This is what happens when you go off the gold standard, the government and banks go to stealing the VALUE of our currency. That is why the founding fathers put the gold standard in the Constitution, Article 1 section 10. Too bad we don't follow the Constitution.
When a newborn calf costs $1500 and needs to be fed and cared for, for 2 years then add processing. A fill up for a semi $900, plus deport the people that plant, weed, pick and process veggies and fruit…what do we expect?
when the state makes you pay the busboy and the guy flipping burgers $30 an hour the price goes up and the quality of food goes down
We used to hang people who counterfeited money, now they run our banking system.
For our Wedding Anniversary we do. We do go all out. It's usually a restaurant that we would never go to. It's a top of the line 5 star, with waiters wearing ties and there is valet etc., That being said, we do save up for it.
BUT because this video mentioned tipping. I purchased a fanny pack for running ONLINE and when checking out, the company asked me if I wanted to tip to support their staff?!?!?
Has anyone else come across companies online requesting tips – not food related? I hope someone does a video on this.
