  1. Nice build. After all the parts were screwed together , do you still think the metal brackets are necessary?

  2. Won't having the end grain of the legs exposed allow water to penetrate the wood and cause swelling or other problems

  3. Allow all the commenters their comments In the end if you are happy how things turned out and you know what you will do when or if things get wonky then you did a great job keep up the videos. There are things I still learn by watching these

  4. Beautiful table Jordan! Thank you for making and sharing it with us! Hope you and your family have a blessed weekend!

  5. 'cause you asked about fasteners … I might have gone with TimberLoks or LedgerLoks for the HW & I think you would have been fine. Looking good tho'!!!

  6. If you're leaving it sitting on the ground, you may want to cut some square pieces of PVC trim & attach them to the underside of the legs to protect them from moisture. They could be undercut slightly from the leg & painted black so they're somewhat hidden from view. … just a tho't

  7. Some notes for others if they build this. I dont know if the builder did this but if you use pressure treated, and it is fairly wet let it sit in a dry warm place for at least a week rotating the boards. I made the miatake when first starting building with PT wood not let it acclimate and dry a little, if not has a terrible habit of bowing and twisting even the thick stuff. His looked fairly dry, but just a warning if you get some really wet stuff

  8. I might have used joist tape as some people do on deck builds to further protect the 2 by's under the table top.
