I Tried POLAND’S BEST Restaurant

In this video, we’re visiting what many consider the best restaurant in Poland.
This is the country’s only two-Michelin-star restaurant,
Bottiglieria 1881.
The head chef is Przemysław Klima.
And this experience turned out to be a real surprise in many ways.

  1. He has this habit of pulling a slightly strained, almost constipated-looking expression whenever he tastes something he actually enjoys.

  2. I took my mum here as a thankyou gift last yr.
As she organised the entire family from Australia to come visit the homeland
    Fantastic restaurant

  3. Tokaji! Alone a good reason to visit Hungary! It simply is the best dessert wine. I really liked this episode.

  4. You should put a piece of tape over the blinking blue light on your microphone. It's out of place in these environments and distracting.

  5. My Polish wife and me (Brit) have been saying for years that Polish food is underrated. Sure, it's rustic in places, but you can also see a certain honesty and sincerity in it.

We haven't been to Krakow for some time, but Arco (1*) and Fino, both in Gdansk, are our favourites. Arco has objectively better and more interesting food, but we have a huge soft spot for Fino, it's just a really great restaurant, and I hope they get a star in the near future. It's not quite there, in truth, but the chef is actively going for it and regardless, it's super.

  6. That bill almost seemed a bargain, 2-star M, 2 seatings, including the Krug! Looked fabulous and I noticed you really liked it. Been to Poland only once, before the Wall fell – in 1986. Could be heading on a trip one of the next few years. Thanks Alexander!

  7. The nice part of him being candid about what he doesn't like in other videos about other restaurants makes me really take notice when he says things like @9:19

  8. I have been to many high end restaurants. Trust me when I say when everything is to perfect with the inside of a restaurant it makes you feel uncomfortable. All of my favourite restaurants have imperfect perfection.

  9. This place looks wonderful. All the dishes look both well composed, but not so out there that the flavors are lost.

  10. 6:40 not sure i understand this dish. the concept of surf and turf is great but everything homogenised like this just seems like the wrong way of doing it. the caviar has too strong of a taste and will surely overpower something milder like tuna and raw beef…
