“You can be in a gang, or you can be in a kitchen. It will be the same.”

Eric Kragh Vildgaard is not your typical fine dining chef. His past life in crime and hardships unexpectedly led him to where he is today – the owner of one of the best restaurants in the world with his extraordinary wife, Tina. Eric and Tina have grown to be an unstoppable duo, winning stars, accolades, and respect from around the world for their humble, down-to-earth Restaurant Jordaner.

How does one go from Danish street gangs to running a 3-Michelin star restaurant?
That was the question I wanted to know the answer to.

Thank you to Eric and Tina for letting me into your world, your home, and your life.
I will remember this story forever.

  1. This was a lovely video, probably #2 for me after the Nihonbashi Kakigaracho Sugita video. Every one of Alvin's videos is a masterpiece, but this one really captured a sense of hope and optimism and pride in a job done well. Looking forward to more videos from Alvin and his crew.

  2. I decided to randomly check out your video of the 3 starred restaurant in Japan yesterday and now, I feel like it's my birthday! A new AZ video is always loved and welcomed. Thanks for the upload buddy 🙂

  3. Amazing video and editing, this crew seems really happy, but man i still cant hear Lost Voice without crying, you cant do that…

  4. I always love Alvin's films because every time I come away from them changed in a good way

  5. My family have been here multiple times, and we know Eric and especially Tina rather well (personally too). These two are genuinely great people and I wish everyone could meet these kind hearted people.

  6. One of the most captivating videos. The ebb and flows with intensity, music, emotions. Great editing

  7. It's just another insane quality video from you, and it's always worth the wait. Again it is really fun to see the purpose and goal behind those restaurants, and how a team operates in happiness. With things like hells kitchen you tend to forget it can also be a great experience, which is exactly why these restaurants will always exist. It's one big family cooking for the happiness of their guests and working hard for it every day, it's humbling to see

  8. Dang that kitchen cleaning scene was amazing! Also just in awe of the ethic of the chef, you see how he really cares for his crew and inspires them, and that they are having fun and enjoying their work despite holding to such high standards. And the story was so sweet. Alvin stop making me cry!
