POV: Cooking Session | Country Gravy in burritos ???

Today’s POV cooking session gets a little crazy… 😅🔥

I took a classic Mexican burrito and mixed it with something you’d never expect — American country gravy. Creamy, savory, loaded with flavor… but does it actually work inside a burrito?

In this video, I’m cooking everything from scratch: perfectly seasoned meat, soft scrambled eggs, warm tortillas, and a rich homemade country gravy poured right on top. The result? You’ll have to see (and hear) that bite at the end 🤤

Would you try this combo or is it a no for you?

  1. Man… I bet that place is not the same since you left. How many times did the owner ask you to stay?

  2. Wait country Gravy is not one of the 14 clasical mechican ingreadiants?
guess its only cream incest and butter….and some honey my man…?

  3. I used to get country gravy in breakfast burritos in college, they had the gravy for biscuits right at the burrito station in the lil dining hall, it was always really good and all my roommates and friends started copying me. bacon, sausage, eggs, tater tots, sauteed onions and bellpeppers, cheese, and country gravy then topped with sriracha while eating it. super good!

  4. Those hash browns you served in the beginning of the video on the burrito give them some color nothing more annoying than hashbriwns that are barely cooked

  5. I'm going to try that burrito with country sausage gravy! How come you aren't showing your new restaurant? How is that coming Alex?👍🙏👍

  6. If you have customers with celiac disease, and the food at restaurants or in a burger chain is not careful enough and crumbs of gluten have gotten on the gluten-free food, then it is no longer gluten-free. Because then that chain has made the food for the person with celiac disease inedible.
Your food chain needs to do much better hand hygiene because there may be crumbs that you can't see. Don't use the same utensils on gluten food as for people with celiac disease. It is serious if that mistake is made. Some people can't tolerate traces of gluten either.

  7. ! Wow ! “ watch out Tokyo we have “ Chefzilla “ on the way. That’s no man ! It’s Superman doing cooking ! I tip my hat on you Master Chef, my complements for the cooking, awesome. Thank you for the video. God bless you.

  8. Born in the southeast here, so I'm a bit of a gravy snob. Mama and Pop both made it for us kids
way back 50+ years ago and it's the only thing I had mama teach me how to cook before I left home
in the late 70's – biscuits and gravy, proper-style from scratch.
All these "instant" "country" gravies all the restaurants use don't really cut it with me as a result.

Some are better than others and I understand why they don't make scratch gravy (it's time-consuming
to do correctly), but it's a compromise at best when it's a mix you add water or milk to and just stir.
Now, all that said, does it belong in a burrito? Who's to say? If you like something, go for it.
Me, I still make it from scratch and it goes with scratch biscuits, end of story. Even taught my "yankee"
wife how to make it years ago and she even likes it – and that woman don't like much of nuthin'! 🙂

  9. Overcooked eggs, omlet, he poured clarified butter directly on the French toast. Not even that many tickets. Sold under cooked hash. Smh

  10. You do an amazing job, and so fun to watch an artist. My only complaint is, no matter the time of day, aimget so damn hungry watching! 🤣👍❤

  11. I hope he’s doing ok at his new place. Running your own business is a whole different ball game 10x harder.

  12. Brother, I hope you still have your restaurant! I know it’s hard out here! But you have many people praying for you!!
