I COOKED MY OWN FISH & CHIPS AT FOX’S IN SKEGNESS?!
Today I did something completely different… I actually stepped behind the counter and cooked my own fish & chips in Skegness! 😱🍟
I headed down to Fox’s Fish & Chips in Skegness where they gave me the chance to try it for myself – from dipping the fish in batter to dropping it in the fryer and seeing if I could actually do the job properly! 👨🍳🔥
Was it harder than it looks?
Did I mess it up… or did I smash it?
You’ll have to watch and see! 👀

Well done and thanks again mate. Staff were rude to the wife when last went many years ago,so only used next doors but after this will be first port of call. Beef dripping and new tates does it for us.

Great wstching how its done behind the counter. We ate fish n chips here a few weeks ago, the kady refused to split a portion of chips though ! Haddock was ok, seemed very bright yellow batter, bit tasteless we thought. Chips ok, curry sauce, thick n claggy, yuk! Nowhere near as good as The Wetherby whaler in North yorkshire. Now they are the best!!

Yorkshire fishcakes are known locally as Sheffield fishcakes. Same with 'scraps' and (in Sheffield) 'Fish bits'.
The beef dripping means a visit from me when I next visit Skeggy.
