im gonna be honest i wish they slow down sims in general, taking their time enjoying a meal would be like sims 1, or sims 2 again.
I don't care about food, really. it's just an obstacle to get a need up quickly while waiting to do something more fun with my Sim. As for thirst and adding a thirst meter… oh dear god, no! There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for Sims to drink water. It serves no purpose, it disrupts actions, and it's extremely annoying when they leave glasses everywhere. If you play a household with more than two Sims, it feels like they're always "grabbing water" and interrupting the actual gameplay. The only Sims who should care about water are the Mermaids. That's it. I would be ecstatic if they just removed the ability to drink water completely.
I hate going to restaurants in the Sims 4. If I show up for breakfast, by the time my sim orders, it's lunch, and by the time they get their food, it's dinnertime. It takes hours to eat one meal, and usually what arrives isn't what I ordered. In the midst of it, my sims get bored and get up and start socializing instead of sitting and waiting for their food. It's so broken. I take EA "fixing" anything with a very large grain of salt.
does anyone go on instant gaming? satch is always talking about it so i wanted to check it out lol but for me its more expensive on there than it is on EAs app is it only cheaper in the UK?
I would love to see a rotisserie dining table. Think Asian culture, where you have plates of sides dishes in the middle, where the family can help themselves and also put food on others plates based on their relationship level. So those that are close.
I would love to see that in the sims. I watch a lot of Chinese dramas, so would love to see some of their culture more implemented into the game.
Yes I like the idea of adding basics like weather, pets and dining to the base game as well, then there’s more opportunities to add more variety to the expansion packs, ie if restaurants were already added, then we could have a pack that’s say cultural based, that also includes aspects of build by and chef uniforms, plus any holidays and traditions that are also weather based, could be added into the pack as well. I like that snow escape added some Asian culture, and wedding stories added some cultural clothes, but there really isn’t enough for my liking. As an Australian, my country is multicultural, so there’s a lot of different cultures in our country. I honestly love how other more established countries have their own rich cultures and traditions. So being able to add that to my own game is amazing. But it does feel lacking at the moment.
I would even love some “religion” or cultural based packs added to sims 4. They don’t have to be exactly the same as real life ones, but definitely based on and influenced by.
I also think by adding a “religious” element to the game would also bring in more players who are influenced by their personal beliefs and would allow others to get a glimpse into some of those experiences as well. Especially kids and teens who may be looking. The game may open up a door that sends them to the library or even online to find out more information.
each time you say Dining Out the subtitles show "dying out" which I think is very suiting lmao
It’s simple really…… they need to create more animations that bridge interactions . And more npc file animations.

If they were to significantly fix the base of the sims 4, even if it’s a new game, but allow us to move over our dlc into the new game, so it runs smoother and fixes issues, then honestly, I would buy it.
What they could do, is fix the coding for sims 4, rename it even, keep the style and design the same and release it as a separate game.
Stop making sims 4 packs, and allow players who have current sims 4 dlc in their ea account, be able to add it to the new base game.
Then new packs that are being made, go to the new game rather than sims 4.
This will then encourage current players to buy the new game, (maybe make it so adding the old dlc has a “you need to have bought the sims 4 dlc before the release of the new game” for you to be able to add it) so those dlc automatically jump to the new game. I’m sure they could easily do that, given purchases have dates behind them and they could code it that way. Then the new game packs would be bought for the new game.
Maybe gameplay features don’t move over if it’s already in the base game, but instead it’s just the items and cas. Even just being able to add the content from those packs into the new game would be a big positive review for old players. Otherwise they may find old players won’t buy the new game since it would have far less content. I just think doing something like this would benefit the players and community along with the company increasing their sales.
I feel the sims days need to be waayyy longer, or atleast have an option to make them longer (like longer lifespan). why does it take 30 in game minutes for my sim to pee 💔

Special Rewarditems in events. I would ADORE a 'Start Food Fight' Mischief interaction added. But truly a 'Vomit on Chefs Shoes' interaction available to express to Professional and Home Cooks that your sim Reallllllllllllly didn't like the meal. 😈Here I am, yelling at you in the comments for engagement! ❤

Glad I am NO longer playing. Also, I wish they never made the that market idea. it's awful!! The ONLY way I would ever think about playing again, IS IF EA GOT thier selves together and REALLY FIXED the game back to what it ONCE WAS.

I want my sims to eat faster, I'm tired of them take 3 hours to finish food. They should take like 30 mins tops in game to finish. Having them all sitting around the table together and eating at the same time would be nice, if I didn't think it would cause them to take an entire day to finish a meal. If they were coded to take maybe an in game hour to eat, it would make more sense, but talking slows sims down so much they won't finish their food.
I wish they would get rid of food related traits and create a likes/dislikes, favorites and food allergy section.

Now that they aren’t releasing the expensive packs anymore, it’s better to they fix the old ones.
Pools are not allowed on my lot bc watching my sim walk past the dining table to go sit on the side of the pool to eat their meal boils my piss. Also boils my piss when they walk all the way upstairs with their food to go chat to someone who’s on the computer. Everything about the sims 4 boils my piss actually and that’s why I don’t play it anymore lol
The major problem I think too is that the days are too short. I'd really enjoy the days with my Sims if I didn't feel rushed.
Sounds like R&D for project X. highly doubt after over a decade of dine out not being fixed they actually care to fix anything players have been complaining about for yrs
