Recipe details –
Soak half cup urad dal for 4-5 hours or overnight
Grind the urad dal with 4-5 garlic cloves, 1 inch ginger, 2 green chillies, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
Whisk the batter until fluffy and add salt as per taste
Take 1 cup of dahi, add 2 tbsp of batter and mix it well
Now add 3 cups of more water and mix
In a Kadhai, add some oil, 1 tsp jeera and mustard seeds, 1 medium sized finely chopped onion, 8-10 curry leaves, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chilli powder,dhaniya powder
Add dahi mixture and cook for 10-15 minutes until the kadhi becomes slightly thick.
Now make small pakoras of the urad dal and add it in the kadhi
Cook these pakoras for 10 minute more and mix salt as per taste
Add the tadka of Kashmiri red chilli powder and red chillies, chopped garlic and hing at the end.
Garnish with some finely chopped coriander
Enjoy with hot rice.
