We Tried Singapore’s Only Michelin Star Street Food | Street Eats | Bon Appétit
Bon Appétit meets Chef Lucas Sin to try Singapore’s only Michelin-starred street food at Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle. Famous for their bak chor mee (minced pork noodles), this 94-year-old hawker stall always has a queue and has retained a Michelin Star for the past 10 years. These dry noodles are cooked with vinegar, chilli, and lard, topped with pork and wontons, and are an essential stop for anyone exploring Singapore’s street food.

Lucas I LOVE you so much. Your articulation of the layers of the food experience is art in itself. You are a gift! Thank you, my sweet.
the GOAT, Lucas….is back!
I feel like I've seen this food stall on Jet Lag The Game, but I forget what season would've had the team in Singapore.
singaporean here. i see Lucas, i click lucas. im glad you are featuring bak chor mee instead of chicken rice. i feel that bak chor mee should be the national dish of singapore.

Life was getting dull until i saw the goat lucas
Guys, my house area has no line.
I was lucky to avoid a long wait. The noodles were excellent, and I can’t wait to return to Singapore. The only challenge was locating the place — it’s a bit hard for me to find it.
welcome to SG, Chef!
LUCAS?! IN MY COUNTRY!?
Bro need a CNN show.
Welcome to Singapore
Like pasta… BCM is life.
Wait chef started in 39? That's 87 years ago! Did he start when he was 5?!?
Tai Hwa is known for being too acidic for bak chor mee. When Singaporeans order it they usually ask for less vinegar
I love the fact that Lucas is having this eating experience WITH us, he's literally explaining everything as he eats and is so knowledgable and respectful about the food thats in front of him. Amazing as always
It shouldn't be one star. Period. Where is the hospitality and the ambience? Michelin is a joke.
Thank you, Lucas, for another forensic review of delicious foods.
Guys wake up, new Lucas video is out
Its like christmas morning
Sorry, can' no longer watch videos made by Americans. Thank your moronic leader for that
“Aggressive” is such an interesting way to describe a dish. But now I want an aggressive bowl of noodles. It sounds delicious ❤
