Is This The Best Mexican Restaurant On The Island Of Oahu?

Chile Relleno is located in the Temple of the Valleys area, and serves up amazing Mexican dishes. The owner was from Mexico and these dishes were some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had on the island of Oahu.

  1. Muy bien, Misty! Kaneohe/Kailua kinda little outta my reach(lol)..but food looks ono! Nice, big, healthy serving size! Don't mind spending extra $$$ if portions +flavors SMACK you in da guts!-lol

  2. Just saw via Guy Hagi…Banh Mi'licious in Kapalama SC. From what eye saw, deliciously crunchy & tasty! Also saw on 808-ocean-hunter, new Indian food eatery…Biryani King @ 704 Sheridan. Grand opening was 5/5. Love me some good tasting Indian eats….

  3. It was really Ono looking. Portions were big, too. I assume you probably couldn't finish all that Kaukau. I hope it was a good valued meal. Aloha and Mahalo. See you in your next video.

  4. Eating Mexican and no beer? you ok. "Not the Boobies"-hahahahahaha. Yes Please-Hahahahahahaha.

  5. Looks really good. My go to spot for Central American food was Torito's in Market City (by UH Manoa). I know the owners were Guatemalan, but it was the best Beef Burritos, Fish Burritos, and fresh salsa I've had on island. 🙂

  6. I like the music in the intro to the video! I wonder if they would've minded if you brought your favorite green hot sauce from home 😂 Have a great weekend!

  7. That looked delicious – everything on the plate from the shredded beef to the beans and rice. Thanks for highlighting this (rare) good Mexican restaurant on Oahu, Misty.

  8. Thanks Misty! Wife and I are always looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Our goto is Los Chaparros on Beretania….MMM!

  9. Hola Misty! Good looking Mexican food! You just inspired us to hit up our local Mexican restaurant this weekend.

  10. Reminds me of many of the places I ate at when I lived in Southern California for a decade. Looks great!

  11. I went to the farmer's market in Windward Mall a couple times on Sundays, and was so disappointed when I realized this place is closed on Sundays! The food looks great, and I will have to make it out that side on a different day! Thank you for sharing another yummy place!

  12. Great video as always. Haven't had Mexican food in a while. Last time was at Los Chaparros, which is more Tex/Mex. I'd like to ask you about tipping. Maybe in one of your future videos you can go over tipping. Things have really changed in the past year with people expecting up to twenty percent in some places. Could you do a video on your tipping experiences? If out of your area of what you want to cover, I understand. Thanks again! Great video!

  13. Sounds really great and the taco shell looked fried to perfection. I hate it when they are greasy. Going out for Mexican tonight now!

  14. We've been enjoying Chile Rellano since they opened. The food is consistently very good. Try the black beans next next time, exceptional. I like their seafood dishes and tamales but the entire menu is wonderful, including the desserts (fried ice cream and flan). Thanks for the review.

  15. “Not the boobies” 😂😂😂 that made me literally LOL and why did I think chi-chi’s was a local restaurant?!

  16. Hi Misty! That food looked Ono! Most of the purveyors on Oahu’s are ok but not exceptional. Which is sad! Anyway great video!

  17. It looks good though I always have some skepticism since I lived in SF and Chicago for so long before returning back here. I would go try it though. Adding it to my growing list of places I wanna try since following your channel. 😄

  18. Aloha Saturday Misty!!! I like this spot, I food looks real good. I love Mexican food. Good looking out!!! Chile Relleno taking pride, and it shows. Mahalos Misty!!!

  19. Wow thanks for sharing Misty! I’m definitely going to try that place since I love Mexican food… too bad didn’t have that El Yucateco hot sauce, I finally found it at DQ since I ran out!!! Have a great weekend
