There are certainly a lot happening in Vancouver! With @Fifa coming to the city in the summer and the tech conferences of @websummit starting up soon, it. is a busy time and also a great time to visit and explore the city! Weather you’re local or visiting, there are a lot of great places in the city for amazing dining experiences.
A big thank you to those of you who have been reaching out with great suggestions and I’m always looking for recommendations! From the best place for a burger to finding a great spot for an Italian feast, I would love to know about, and share these great places! And the wisdom of the crowds ring true, and many viewers have suggested a hidden gem here in the greater Vancouver area and it’s a food court!
But this just isn’t any food court, this is possibly the best Chinese food court I’ve ever visited. Not only great food with the Chinese barbeque of the roasted pork and the roasted duck, but also hosting one of the best xio long bao dumpling (XLB) stalls in the city. From traditional mainland, Chinese cuisine too the delightful Hong Kong Cafe style treats, you’re sure to have a great feast, maybe a food, coma, but all the while maintaining a healthy wallet. It will not break the bank!

Tim!!! Love your reviews friend!
Thanks for another great show Tim. 😊
Good to see you Tim great content as always
The xio long bao at shanghai dim sum house has got so expensive. I remember pre covid days it was like $5. Also the lady working the till there is always so miserable lol. Ive been there dozens of times and i can tell she hates her job 😂
I love when you feature independent establishments rather than buffets.
Can't believe you could eat that much. I don't think. I can eat even half of what you did, even in my younger days,, I enjoy watching your videos. , you are such a nice person. 👏
This food court looks exactly the same 15 years ago when I used to go frequently.
I stopped going to Chinatown in Vancouver when I heard them speaking English but when I asked for help to buy something [like fish, etc] they no longer speak English. I occasionally confronted some saying I heard them speaking English and they call security on me. So to me they hate anyone not themselves and so I never shop there any longer. And the Chatter booth at the Crystal mall [on Kingsway where he is in the video] has a couple of women there that look at whites like they want us dead.
Anyhow, I highly do NOT recommend the Crystal Mall nor Chinatown at Main & Keefer etc downtown. You could get hurt. No joke.
Holy Tim unbelievable how much u can eat😂🤗. Time ❤️ bbq duck, would u pls do a sampling for the best sweet bbq duck🤗
No idea how you’re not 300lbs. One of my breakfast places is Admiralty Pl Richmond. The preserved egg and Chinese donuts rice roll combo is $12. It’s the stall displaying Chinese donuts. I cannot finish in one seating and end up with half a bowl congee.
Been ages since I was out at Crystal mall
Nice Video Tim l enjoyed the different Chinese cuisines so many to choose from. I really liked the pineapple bun. Everything looked good! this is a place l would try if l was visiting there. You are hilarious with the soup squirting out of the bun you were eating! And towards the end those nice ladies who gave you a nice compliment.
That was really nice. Thanks for sharing your video l always enjoy them.
The camera do have a little bit of a fisheye lens effect if you pay attention to it. It's also the display ration widescreen from youtube too.
Hi Tim! Always nice to see you friend. I think a road trip up to Vancouver from here in Seattle is in order! ✨🤗👏✨
In Hawaii, I usually don't eat congee (or jook) for breakfast, but eat it as a meal for dinner. Those rice rolls look amazing but again, not something I'm familiar with as I usually don't eat congee outside of the home. The actual donut I've seen, but just broken up into the congee. Funny how different areas of the world enjoy congee.
I thought this was in China for the first 12 mins of this video. I kept wondering why it was so expensive… lol
i'm a simple vancouverite, i see crystal mall video, i click and watch every second
Man, I don’t like cash only too.
Quit letting people in on these things! The more people go to these places, the greater stress it puts on the supply and the prices will have to increase.
You dont recognize an XLB after eaten so many XLB? Im surprised 😂
