🎬 Never Tasted South Indian Food Like This Before… 🤯 Unreal 13-Course Tasting! 🍽️✨
An absolute culinary revelation at the ITC Ratnadipa, Colombo! 🇱🇰 Join me as we experience the spectacular thirteen-course tasting menu at Avartana, a stunning fine-dining venue that offers a brilliant, creative take on South Indian and Sri Lankan flavours. 🍽️ ✨ Having heard much about its culinary artistry, I was keen to experience it first-hand—and it completely redefines everything you think you know about modern Indian cuisine. 🧠 💥
From an explosive start with our amuse-bouche to masterfully executed plates like the pan-seared lobster, a revelatory lamb brain fritter, and a visually arresting spiced aubergine wrapped in an eggplant sheet, each course under Chef Sunanda’s kitchen is a masterclass in balance and visual flair. 🦞 🍆 We also dive into steamed sea bass with a vibrant gongura emulsion, an exquisite white butter chicken paying homage to Tamil Nadu’s famous Uthukuli butter, and a series of technical, imaginative desserts—including a jaw-dropping “egg” crafted from cocoa butter, fennel panna cotta, and mango-ginger jelly. 🥚 🥭 And much more.
If you are a passionate food lover, Avartana Colombo—much like its iconic counterparts at ITC Hotels in Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi—is an absolute must-visit for an inventive, deeply satisfying gastronomic journey. 🥂

Best way to destroy once own food culture by getting inspired from which dont belong to us ..
👍🙂
Had Dinner at Avartana just last month n in last January at ITC Maurya in Delhi n it was a flavour Bomb to say the least 👌 absolutely loved it.( Although many dishes were diff in Delhi than urs menu )…only thing from a big appetite punjabi like me is that I felt I need to eat more n I was left neither here nor there haha may be my course was smaller I don't know
Going next month,will surely try
In general , our meal size in India should be small portions , like we see here.
Tried Avartana,Delhi in March,awesome experience.
This was a spectacular meal and a visual treat 😮. As it's my lunch time I got hungry too 😋
Very much informative. God bless both of you. Love from srilanka.
Daily sambhar in a cocktail glass for 200 rs 😂 , Why do us Indians want to copy everything from the west? Pretentious posh dishes🥲
looks delicious❤❤
Wow thanks for this great experience, will be on my bucket list
Amazing vlog sir. Love from Canada
3* and 5* is not part of us.. ಬಲು ದುಬಾರಿ ಗುರುವೇ 😢
I've added timestamps in the video description, jump to your favorite course and tell me: if you could only pick ONE, would it be the martini-glass rasam or that incredible 'egg' dessert? 🍽✨
