I’m in Bracknell today and I’ve headed to Tangs buffet which has recently been fined for an outbreak of Salmonella at their restaurant in 2024. What is it like now?

Good video Gary, the issue I have with any of these buffets is the quality, but this one seems better than most
I love a smorgasbord as soon as they open, first through the door. Will never go to a smorgasbord any other time.
I always give these Buffet places a very wide birth generally a lot of the least popular dishes could sit on the hot plate for hours if not days which is not good . There is one of these Chinese buffets not far from me it is eat as much as you like but you order up to 4 items at a time and they are cooked to order for you according to your party size when you have eaten those you can order some more but you begin with starters then move on to mains but you can not go back to a previous course. I think that is a much better way of doing things and virtually eliminates waste which is the last thing a kitchen wants in these days of extortionate prices .

A number of years back,, a fast food chain on the West Coast of America called Jack In The Box had a food poisoning outbreak. E-coli, I think. It was Major Headlines.
Within a few days of the outbreak, my boss said he was going to Jack In The Box for lunch. His secretary was horrified!
"Why would you go there? Are you crazy? Do you have a death wish?" 😂😂😂
He answered in a most practical way……. "Of all the restaurants around, and considering all the negative publicity, who do you think is going to have the absolute CLEANEST kitchens and the freshest food, right now? Aaaand……. they won't have any lines!"

Clever. I listened. I was a pretty regular customer of Jack In The Box for quite a while, after hearing that logic! ——–> "Ultimate Cheeseburgers" were my absolute favorite, at least until they went away from Mayo in favor of Ketchup and Mustard. Then they went down a notch. 😂 (Then they priced themselves up to beyond my tolerance level! 😂😂)

Only seven? In Sweden there was a sushi restaurant that poisoned over 300. Not that it's a competition.
When you do these type of reviews please do it live for 24 hours. Some say a bit suspect.
I go to Tangs fairly often and have never had a problem, if you go for dinner they do a larger selection including duck and both lamb and chicken kebab though of course it does cost more.

The "Special Fried Rice" was not special. On the same place, you had "Sweet and Sour Chicken," about which you remarked, "small pieces of Chicken." Solution ——–> scoop up a bit the of Chicken with the Fried Rice, and you'll be have a yourself spectacular Fried Rice!
Buffets cater to the average. Sometimes, a little Buffet Creativity can go a long, LONG way! It was right there on your plate. All you had to do…… was do it! Hahaha!

The place definitely looks clean, comfortable s nice atmosphere to eat in. I don't know how much this influences a contaminant it could have come from anywhere. The food in a buffet is exposed to everyone and everything. Thank you so much for sharing and posting. Good to see you.

That place looks so clean and the display is spot on. There are much worst place than this place interms of clean presentation
Having worked in a large shopping centre – and seeing the staff of the buffet restaurant come from the toilets without washing their hands – I would never take the chance of eating there Gary! We took note as there was a lot of food poisoning emanating from this establishment!

Gary have you ever tried places like Bem Brasil and Rio Brazilian Steakhouse?
We have been to Bem Brasil in Manchester a few times and it is nice ( can end up with meat sweats 🥵🤣🤣)and are thinking of trying Rio Brazilian in Edinburgh in September
Looks decent enough! nothing special, does look very clean. The only weird thing is i watch this channel because of expert food reviews after being to so many places, you know your dishes! I don't watch it in the hope you get food poisoning lol, the fact that the thumbnail suggests your dicing with death means there's people out there who will only click on the vid for the prospect of it happening! really unnecessary. cant we just exist for the joy of food, I'm not 8 years old anymore. I don't get my kicks from someone eating a spoonful of wasabi, not everything has to be a pain challenge
