Which restaurant would you like to try? 👇
Thank you so much for the recommendation of Le Coucou…it was the perfect dinner for out last night in Paris (this time!)
The check at the 3rd restaurant says that “the VAT will be calculated after payment of the ticket”. Since the menu prices include taxes, what are they referring to? Taxing any tip you may leave on a credit card?
Nobody's dessert is safe with you around 😂
The food of any touristy area is going to have inflated prices and mid range food. It’s sad but true so thank you for showing a totally different experience!! I love French food and culture but personally I find it very fussy and finessed and I prefer the more simple taste! It’s just a preference, give me a good French bread, some delicious cheese and a flavourful wine, a brilliant view and I am there. I just do not fit in or enjoy the restaurant scene there
What I am seeing is that Paris is quickly becoming more "British" in relation to the quality of food in ALL the restaurants. Restaurants that once served fantastic food are now barely mediocre. Drinking seems to have replaced eating at most of the once better spots. One of my fav little restos in the Latin Quarter has now cut their menu down to one-third the size and has become a bar. It's happening all over Paris. Seems just the high end hotels (Cheval Blanc, etc) maintain the quality and presentation. Almost every place else is just ok, or downright bad.
7:11 – The conductor does his work. 👍👍
All these dishes look wonderful. The chocolate on the profiterole at the first place was unbelievable.
Clinking glasses is common, though difficult to avoid.
English people generally use the preterite tense, but the perfect when being posh. Good advice about a good tour if parachute-ing (sp?)
NICE but stills a little bit "pricy" !…
Great video thank you!
Bonjour! Will you please do another video of authentic Parisian places to eat but down a step or two in terms of price? So something a little bit more affordable for most of us on our visit to Paris. Merci.
I'm so hungry now…
Bonjour!
comment allez-vous aujourd'hui
I hope the best to you both.
As always love and enjoy watching your videos.
Very informative, very detailed, you leave us with all info we need.
Merci!
I do have a request, I will be in Paris in a few months. I love dancing. I'm looking for a place for seniors especially music like Motown. That type of vibe. We will be 3 of us that love dancing. Crowded huge places like what they have today is not our cup of tea. It is ok a DJ playing but not for hundreds and hundreds of people (that's crowded)
Rather, a place some 300 persons, where they serve some food. It doesn't need to be fancy but decent.
In London they have Blues Kitchen – that type of atmosphere is very nice. Could you please recommend?
Should you know anything coming up (an event) a type like such as Blues Kitchen. What we're looking for is Motown/music during 60's 70's to even 80's.
We are interested in dancing music with soul NOT rap. I hope to hear from you. I appreciate any suggestions.
We would love to meet both of you, it would be an honor.
Merci
Thank you
I'm thinking about going to Paris soon but those prices! I saw a receipt for 200 euro. Is 100 Euro per person normal?
So much red meat and extremely high cal desserts. My cardiologist would not be impressed. Can you eat healthy in Paris?
Fransız yemeği 🫣
Thank you again for this delicious guide!
Greetings from Turkey 😊
Les pommes dauphines, c est cent fois meilleurs que des frites ❤❤❤
I like the chocolate mousse effect !!!
I like the idea of this video and the restaurant suggestions, a couple of which are new to me. However, the filming was not great. Way too many closeups of chewing and eating.
Those are some super expensive lunches.
The Guy Savoy menu was a deal breaker surprised at the price of Astros. Simple decor.
We just returned from Paris and so glad we booked a food tour! Our guide was delightful and introduced us to so many delicious French specialties. Thanks for the tips on great restaurants.
Looking for hidden gems in Parisian regional restaurants? I have a couple for you!
1- L'Auberge Averonnaise
40 Rue Gabriel Lamé, 75012 Paris
The culinary tradition of Auvergne: VERY generous portions! The aligot surprises many.
2- La Petite Périgordine
39 Rue des Écoles, 75005 Paris
Presents another side of the same region with equally generous portions (reservations recommended).
3- A surprising gem, a "why not?" option.
Melt (3-4 locations):
103 Rue Cambronne, 75015 Paris
A Texas BBQ! With a French twist.

Going to our only French restaurant here for my 63rd bday in a few weeks. Voila!!!
At the second restaurant, Vendémiaire, they "surprised" you with 2 oysters which you said was "a gift." HOWEVER, I see they charged you for it on the bill. Can you explain the discrepancy ?
Are all of these places easy to order if they don’t speak French
