The hotel we used to stay at when I was little was only a couple blocks from there, but we never went. Dad's favorite waterfront places were down near Garden City and Murrell's Inlet. Looks like another one I'll have to add to my list.
Nice I have walked by this many times with family 😊
Can hear people in background more than you.
We stayed at the resort next door last year with the grands in the penthouse room. Ate here for lunch and a breakfast, and enjoyed a sunset from C's H back yard. OHHHH Derrick NOOOO!!! No sugar or sweetener in my grits! Can't do it, my Friend. Blessed Sunday and every day!
Beautiful restaurant. The breakfast bar actually looked delicious! Simple. However, your omelets look delicious too! Couldn't go wrong there.
It'll be nice when you get to try lunch or dinner….
Continue to have a blessed day ❤️
I also stayed at the hotel next door (north) and visited this restaurant a couple times in the mid to late 90’s. I’m seriously thinking they’ve sold to a new owner because it’s tripled in size since we were there and is offering breakfast, whereas they only offer lunch and dinner way back then. Quality of the food was high then and I’m glad to see it hasn’t changed. Thanks for taking us along. 💕
I know it must have hurt you to post that video because of the sound but I’m glad you did. That was the last place in Myrtle Beach that I ate with my mom before her dementia set in. It was one of my family’s go to dinner locations growing up. Thank you for that memory!
We've never eaten at the Sea Captain's House, but I've driven by it on trips to Myrtle Beach since the early 1980's. Based on your review I'll have to give it a try. You said you normally don't make it down this far south When you visit North Myrtle Beach, but I'd recommend making the drive down to Murrell's Inlet which is a few miles south of Myrtle Beach on Highway 17. It's smaller and not quite as touristy as Myrtle Beach and there are a number of good restaurants along the Marsh Walk (our favorite is Creek Ratz). After your meal you can take a stroll along the Marsh Walk and see the goats on Goat Island as well as sea gulls, pelicans, cormorants and other waterfowl that frequent the marsh.
Whata beautiful restaurant. Thank you for sharing ❤
Oh really nice 👍🏻 and I never visit Myrtle Beach 🏖️ but I heard about that place very nice many activities there.
Good to see you trying the Sea Captains House. This is my number 1 breakfast spot everytime I visit Myrtle Beach.
That item you said you didn't know what it was… that was Shrimp and Grits. That's honestly why I go to the sea Captains house because I love their shrimp and grits.
Not sure if you all know, but the create your own omelet comes with the buffet.
I order the buffet, place an order for a fresh omelet, rye toast, fruit bowl, eggs made to order… the juice comes with it too.
And it's only a few bucks more than what you paid. For 2 people our bill comes out to be $31-$32.
I got a few old videos from where I went a few times. They are collecting dust. I need to upload them haha
But yeah, this is my #1 breakfast spot when I visit Myrtle Beach
Glad you two got to try it
Beautiful place!! Food looked good. Thanks for bringing us along! It’s so fun seeing all the different places y’all go, and all the memories y’all make. Honored to be a part of the adventures!
Place and food looks great! The audio is not unfortunately… from the people speaking Spanish when you first sit down to the general noise of the restaurant- had a hard time understanding you a lot of the time you were inside. Super cool place 😊
Enjoyed your video!😊
Wow. Beautiful restaurant. Loved the flowers outside and the views from the inside window seating and outside deck. Seafood omelette sounded heavenly. Neat they have a buffet too. I enjoyed both your childhood stories. It's always fun to reminisce. I loved that Hershey chocolate milk mix and Nesquik too when I was a kid. Great video.
I have such fond childhood memories of going here every family trip to north myrtle. It's been years since I've been. I'm glad they're still around. Hamburger Joe's was our other spot.
Sea Captains House is a beautiful restaurant. The buffet looked good. I’m with you I love sugar in my grits. They keep their grounds so pretty. Thanks for the stories and walkthrough of the beautiful grounds.
Please stop ruining southern grits by adding sugar! Not a southern thing, especially in NC!! Hard to hear y'all with all the background noise and talking!
We use to eat there for several years. They were open evenings only back then. Your meals looked good! I would like to try the seafood omelette. Thumbs up! God Bless!
Beautiful grounds and view! Everything looked so good. A great way to start the day.
Beautiful restaurant . Love all the flowers and the view outside. The food looked yummy too. Glad you enjoyed your breakfast.
We love eating at Sea Captains House. She Crab 🦀 soup is the one of the best I have ever had. Have a great trip!
