From viral bakeries and famous pastry shops to burger spots and Parisian cafés, I spent the day trying some of Paris’s most talked-about food spots to see what they’re actually like.
I visited La Maison d’Isabelle, Café Carette, MELT, HolyBelly, Madame Madame, DUMBO Burger, Cedric Grolet Opéra, Chez Janou, Girafe, La Baguette du Relais, and Philippe Conticini, ordering some of their most popular items and comparing them on taste, price, and overall experience.
With queues, social media hype, and thousands of recommendations behind these places, which ones are genuinely worth visiting in Paris and which ones would I skip?

    To be clear, you got a deal on BBQ. In TX, the best BBQ is sold by weight. It’s standard to pay around $150 to feed 4 people brisket (the most expensive), quite a few sides, and drinks. Also, the absolute best places are more than worth it, because if you eat at the restaurant, bread/sauces/pickles/desserts are free additions.

    WOW How could I have not found you before now? I have just watched your oldest restaurants in UK and I had to subscribe. Cannot believe how you present yourself and your video for such a young gentleman you are very savy and knowledgeable.     12:00 Honestly, that's a pretty good price for all of that food. Was just watching the channel Only Scrans yesterday, he went to some of the famous BBQ joints in Dallas and got similar amounts of food for $165 at each place.

    Ham and mustard sandwich is a French thing Jambon bierre or something like that. I wouldn't of bothered with the steak and chips this is slowly becoming a comic sketch and i'm all for it!

    Noooo I can’t watch people when they are struggling to communicate 😭 I am horrible with regular interactions so stick me with someone who is a different language and it’s my worst nightmare

    Be nice to pigeons. Humans domesticated them and then just abandoned them when they got tried, but the cliff pigeons you meet in cities are domesticated animals who unfortunately still try to keep near people, not yet having rewilded themselves enough to realize that people suck.

    I had yellow tails with jalapeños. It gets a decent appetizer rating in my mind. I probably prefer a more savory appetizer and something cooked than that.

    First stop : absolutely overrated. I used to live in Paris for few years.

    First you have 2 queue : one for the “amazing” croissant, one for overall, unfortunately there is no signs to mention it. Always found staff very rude.

    The place is victim of his success but in a bad way. There is a lot nicer in Paris. But that first place : don’t waste your time and your money here.
