  1. We had a pupuseria down the street from where I grew up, I have a lot of warm memories from early childhood that this video activated โ˜บ๏ธ

  2. One of my best friends is Salvadorean, and his family has a couple of restaurants – we'd go late night (they stayed open super late) and pick up pupusas and giant drink containers filled with margaritas and FEAST after the club.

  3. I literally have it in my will that I want a coffin made of a giant pupusa.
Justโ€ฆroll my ass in cheese and make me the filling.

NO I DONโ€™T CARE ABOUT THE FUKKEN BUGS IN THE GROUND โ€”I want, what I want dammit!!

  4. Ahhh! I used to eat those as a kid at an El Salvadorian restaurant downtown. They were so good! I need to go back!

  5. I had these growing up whenever I went to my friend's house and since then I've made them once. It wasn't that great but yet it was phenomenal! 10/10

  6. Made it today only difference is I added some spam or oil to the pan made them like 2 hours ago for the familia and I think it works they are all satisfied and idk how to cook so hell yea

  7. There was a cute movie I liked called โ€œMoon over Parador.โ€ They talked about pupusas a lot. So when I went to a Central American restaurant, I got to enjoy them for real.

  8. Also a great poor meal. I've slow cooked chicken with chipotle, tomato, etc. and used that as filling with the cheese. Then I have them with a pico/black bean salad and curtido. I usually make a bunch and eat them through the week. I wonder if they would freeze well…

  9. Most Salvadoran restaurants are also Mexican restaurants and vise versa.the two have the best food of all south/Central America so it make sense

  10. Pupusas are one of my favorite things but every time I try to make it they just fall apart! They're either too watery or not enough moisture. I wasn't adding the milk to the cheese though….

  11. After my Latina grandmother died I just never had a chance to eat these again and then my wife saw these and she made them and they tasted exactly like my grandma. That was the first time I had cried and four years.

  12. I have to try your recipe because I've tried this two other times and mine came out tasting like salty dough ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
