Diners got an unexpected surprise when Justin Bieber joined in singing Happy Birthday at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles.

Footage filmed by Karla Saldana shows the singer joining the birthday celebration.

Saldana said she and her friends were celebrating her friend Amanda’s birthday when Bieber, who she said was dining at the next table with his wife and friends, asked if they were celebrating before launching into Happy Birthday himself. Soon, the entire restaurant joined in.

“He and his friends were having fun and it was such a nice surprise,” Saldana said, adding that she was “shocked” but quickly started filming once he began singing.

“Such an LA moment,” she wrote on social media.
