This time our whole family went on a mission to try as many dishes as possible, and it turned into a real feast! We tasted countless Filipino and international dishes, but these were our absolute favorites: Blue Marlin Soup, Bopis, Seafood Pancit Bihon, Ensaladang Talong, Arroz del Senyoret, Bibingka, Cassava Cake, Ube Ice Cream, Self-Made Halo-Halo, and Pandan Cake.
This special day became even more memorable because my ex-husband, the father of Misha and Kostya, joined us for the celebration. We laughed, shared amazing food, and created wonderful family memories together.
And there was another reason to celebrate! 🎉 Our youngest son, Kostya, recently had his birthday, and the Vikings staff surprised him with a birthday greeting that made him incredibly happy. Seeing his smile was one of the highlights of the day.

Pandan not only for food but it is a herbal medicine also for minor illnesses like headaches, nausea and many others.
But yes it’s best for food!
Pandan is a tropical plant with long, fragrant green leaves. It is widely used in Southeast Asian cuisines like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and also the Philippines. Some Filipinos put pandan leaves when cooking rice to give flavor and fragrant aroma.

Im a little bit concerned about the way tarzan is carrying alina seems i am the one get tired of alina.. just carry her with ur hand put her butt on ur arm the way filipino is carrying their kids.
you can try planting greens in your garden. especially the kangkong, they're low maintenance.

Heaven knows, I am extremely happy for all of you. The way you all appreciate the Filipino food and lifestyle. Never mind the political noise in your country and in the Philippines. Just enjoy everything, shopping, outing, eating out and enjoying the natural beauty of the Philippines. Even though we don't live there but we are still Filipino at heart. One thing though, Val, I wish Misha is wearing shoes just like Kostya when going to the mall or in school. Just a suggestion. God bless everyone and continue to be happy in your adopted country. Val, Bopis is made of Lungs and Heart of a pig, the boys forgot to add condensed milk in their halo halo., Padan is a leaf like lemon grass.

Hi Valentina! Pandan is Tagalog word for “ lemongrass” thjs is very aromatic organic family of herbs long steam grass. You can use for cooking rice , soup bulali etc! Enjoy!

@ValentinaLovingPhilippines Бопис — это на самом деле свиные лёгкие. В ресторане их тщательно очищают и обрабатывают. Затем их обжаривают с луком, чесноком и имбирём, добавляя овощи. Также добавляют уксус, а цвет блюду придают семена аннато и куркума.
Пандан — это листья, похожие на лемонграсс (танглад), которые используются как ароматизатор в пище. В основном они придают блюду запах, а не употребляются в еду напрямую.
Эти маленькие пирожные разных цветов в основном сделаны с ароматизаторами и искусственными красителями. В них на самом деле нет настоящего пандана, клубники или убе. В основном всё искусственное, поэтому я стараюсь их избегать и выбираю более качественные сладости.
Bopis is actually pork lungs they are cleaned carefully since you are in restaurant. it is sauted with onion garlic ginger with veggies, they put vinegar and the color is from annatto seeds and turmeric.
pandan is a leaves just like tanglad that can be use as aromatics on food mostly just smell on food
These little cakes with different colors are mostly made with flavorings and artificial colors. They don’t actually contain real pandan, strawberry, or ube. Most of it is artificial, so I try to avoid them and just choose higher-quality sweets instead.
Tell your kids not to touch and smell the food like bibingka with bare hands if they're not taking it. Very unsanitary. You know hands are one of the dirtiest parts of the body.
