Trying Every Restaurant on the NYT 2025 Top 100 List – Abuqir Seafood

Trying Abuqir Seafood which made the New York Times Top 100 list yet again. Last year I wasn’t completely sold because I found the scallops a little fishy, but this visit changed my mind. My recommendation is to start with a couple of the dips and a Greek salad, but definitely make the seafood the focus of your order

  1. Not only all the seafood looked fresh but the baba ganoush and the bread looked delicious too also same for the octopus

  2. I’m seriously just obsessed with every video you post ! The food looks sooo good, I’m a huge sucker for pita and some dips πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ˜‹

  3. Totally my kind of place!! Mic and match, you pick the style. Fantastic. I moved from Jersey to NC 15 yrs ago and I hate the fact that most all fish is cooked calabash style, which is breaded and fried 😒

  4. My uncle in law is from Alexandria and introduced this spot to me as a place from home. You should order the tagine here. It's usually a mix of squid and shrimp and it's the best dish. Make sure to get the seafood stock rice/sayadiya also. Also, the tahini as mentioned by others is fantastic.
