  1. What he said about Iran food can also be applied to Japanese food, yet Japan glazers will defend Japan regardless

  2. Nonsense, honestly! Really depends on what area of Iran and people's preferences, there are a whole range of spices types and amounts
You go south, foods become much spicier in comparison with citites like mashad

  3. There's a term for this concept in Chinese as well 原汁原味 means the food is cooked in its own juices and tastes like itself. This is an esteemed virtue in 淮杨 (eastern chinese) cuisine

  4. Another thing is high amount of spices dry out the water content in body, so people in rainy places eat high amounts of spices but it drier places, people eat lower amounts.

  5. I love both Iranian and Afghan foods, both have diverse regional variants, with overlap among them. Afghan food is not spicy, btw, and, yeah as a Mexican, I bring my own spice just in case, although with Iranians and Afghans, there is typically the option of having Chiles on the side. Red Chiles and pomegranates do work, btw, they certainly do. As much as I enjoy your work, you do not like or understand, or handle spice enough that you can put the aspect of heat to the side of other food factors such as taste, temperature, texture, aesthetic, etc.

  6. Most people are too used to having too much salt, oil and sugar. So when they are exposed to food which has less salt, oil and sugar, it feels bland or off to them. However, over time the less amounts of these you eat, you will actually be able to taste more flavours. I found Iranian food bland at first since I was used to eating extremely spicy food, but the more I ate, the more my pallette developed to it and now it's one of my favorites. Now I wish I could eat it everyday!

  7. Putting salt while cooking and while eating both give different taste. Obviously putting later wont taste good as it would have while cooking

  8. I'm Indian Bengali living in Kolkata. Got 1 Iranian friend here. He's a practicing Muslim of course. On Fridays he invites me for food and being a Christian I invite him on Sundays. And guess what ? Iranian food is the best . Now Iranians are two types, one are Persians I mean who supports the Shah rule and have migrated out of Iran ,their food is a bit different. But I am trying to say,the food that you will readily get in Iran 🇮🇷 now if you visit it ,its the best food ❤.

Bengali cuisine is most celebrated in Indja and Indian cuisines are most overrated in the whole world but to me Iranian food is the best ❤.
I don't remember exactly the names,I just eat it but I guess my friend makes Ghor me Sobzi ,Kabob Koobideh, and there are some other foods I don't exactly remember the names. These are amazing dude ❤🙏.

Even Indian Byriani which we eat in India which again have many varieties, this Byriani actually came from Islamic Iran 🇮🇷 ❤. Byriani comes from Iranian word 'Byrian' I guess means to cook everything together Iguess 😅.

The next my most favorite cuisine is Middle Eastern like of Lebanon,Palestine,Iraqi cuisine,Syrian. Their food is great too.

As for Afghan food,Afghan food has more sweetness,I mean they add sweetnes in literally everything. Still I will say their PG Chapli Kabob is best with Bolani bread . And to get it absolutely authentic you need to ko to Kabul, thats the only authentic place to eat Afghan cuisine. Rest are hoax.

  9. If you're used to eating sugary, salty and highly spiced food, other food will taste bland. You gotta give the tongue time to adapt. As for me a malaysian, i just know that i will have the exact same opinion with sonny.

  10. South asian aka Indian food is not about red pepper, if you have no understanding of a cuisine , it's best to keep your mouth closed about it.

  11. I assume that Sonny's main complaint was about the lack of liberal use of seasonings, which is what this creator (sorry, I'm not sure if your name is Shar or Shargh) is saying is on purpose. Sonny is very well aware of different types of spice, and from what I can recall of his Iran videos, he spoke quite often of the high quality of the meats, fats, and ingredients. I'm only really saying this because I noticed some comments saying that he might think spice = spicy food.

  12. Indians also believe that too much spice makes you angry. Maybe this belief came from India. Of course, people in India don't care and add on anyways 😂😂

  13. I love iranian good, one of the best and rich cuisine in the world. Afghan is nice too but they cook many iranian dishes and add garam masala or pepper. But iranian food is more naturally flavored ❤

  14. Yeah Iranian food is light on spice afghani food uses it moderately but Pakistan and India go all in if it's not burning your tongue off they don't eat it

  15. Oh steaks get plenty of pepper these days lol. Believe it or not, the extra pepper on steak brings out the natural flavor of the meat. Same for salt; it's when you add contrast that flavors truly come alive.

  17. As an indonesian perspective who only watch culinary content (im not well traveled). Iranian food looks really beautiful. I think in west asia and north africa, iranian food is the prettiest. The red color from berry, yellow from saffron, and white from rice. The gooey greenie noodle soup. The many types of kebab.
    Im hungry now.

  18. Persia is along the silk road, and some silk road traders like using an absurdly huge amount of salt, so much that it almost burns the mouth, and they are completely acclimatized to this, but if you have their food not knowing it's going to be like this then next thing you know you are going to specifically be asking for much less salt in your food, and then you become acclimatized to that too. Also salt is an ingredient important for food preservation but if you have plenty of fresh food available then the salt isn't as necessary, and fresh meat and veg do have a special flavor and feeling that you don't get with preserved stuff.

Imo some salt is needed to be able to taste and appreciate the full flavors of meat and veg but there it is. I guess a rich country dealing constantly with rich traders who are known to over salt their food finds that it prefers less salty food by comparison.

  19. I don't know about that sentiment indians use tons of spice and they're known for being peaceful.

  20. It's also a matter of a cuisine reflecting the nature of the landscape. South Asian cuisine is more spicy because they historically come from a region where various types of spices have been grown in abundance

  21. As a Bangladeshi, via an Iranian friend, I had Iranian food e.g. Tagdig – rice with golden crust & light chicken curry. For a subtle dish, it tasted great and note that I'm South Asian.
But also, technically, not everyone expects subtle food when they eat Asian cuisine; they expect spiciness, so I get the point. However, Iranian cuisine is a different experience; you cannot call it overrated.

  22. They sell Iranian imported products here in Pakistan and the first time I've tried them it tasted like baby food although the juices very good

  23. It's a matter of personal taste. Also, there are other condiments, such as sumach etc. but the video maker is spot on!

  24. ایول 👏🏼
اینکه محترمانه و منطقی جواب دادین و دلیل آوردین خیلی خوب بود

  25. No disrespect to Iranian food, but it way too bland for me as a Pakistani who loves spice and flavour associated with South Asian food.

  26. i totally agree w him. iranian food is too blen n indian n pakistani food is over spicy but Afghan food is just right between iran n ind/paki food bslanced amount of spices enough to make it tasty n feel the taste of meat n kabobs like this gentleman is saying

  27. Iranians' food taste good no need to add slot of salt and other spice to make them tasty, in addition everybody can add salt if she likes more salty.

  28. I think Iranian food is good for that reason. I like that you can taste all the ingredients and the way it all comes together.

  29. I love Afghan food because they are not overly spicy and i m from South Asian . I never had Iranian food but they look delicious! agree with you on South Asian kababs ; they sometimes use too many spices and the meat flavour just despairs.

  30. Americans also have tastes for more salt and sugar as well, which might make Iranian food seem unsalted by comparison. When I went to Italy or Japan, the traditional desserts were usually not that sweet to me (except for gelato). Nothing wrong with either way of cooking; everyone has certain tastes.

  31. That's also how the greek cuisine treats spice.. there are hot spicy dishes but not being able to taste the meat is always alarming for us and not pleasant
