Beef Quesabirria Pizza with Consommé Dip | Food Wishes
This beef quesabirria pizza is everyone’s favorite taco in pizza form. Dipping the slices into the rich, spicy consommé takes this to a place that pizza never goes, and it really is amazing. But fair warning; once you taste this, you’ll find it hard to go back to ordinary un-dipped pizza. Enjoy!

WOW, that looks good!
I don't even have to watch more than the first minute to know that this will be my new favorite meal.
Looks gorgeous!
Oh, yeah; this one is definitely getting made.
I get a laugh from all the commenters hating on the notion of dunking pizza. A local pizza place (Monical’s, central IL) is known for people dipping their slices in their tangy house salad dressing. Theirs is thin-crust tavern style, though.
5:19 thank you
OMG This is happening at our house this weekend!!! Thank you Chef John. The family is going to love it! from Portland, OR … living near trees …
YES!!!!
Looks like I found Father's Day dinner for my Mexican husband!! 😅😅
Beautiful!
The sombrero french dip! Adding an alternative disk that absorbs more of that delicious liquid was both genius and painfully obvious. French dip ratio applied and its pure perfection.
I guess we can't call it Queefbirria Pizza for short…
5:18 this is why Chef John is the G.O.A.T.
I'm calling the cops. Where is my contractually obligated couple shakes of cayenne?
Such a great technique! I'm not that enthused by the regular meats on pizza (normally some sort of salami), but will have to give this a go. There are so many flavour profiles that would work with this. I'm thinking Thai curry paste in with the beef while it's cooking. I'm not sure what cheese would go with that; feta?
Am I crazy or did you sneak in an Eminem reference at 5:17 lol
You gotta wrangle that side find CJ! This one looks like a winner.
The pizza part may be a fun party food for friends, but a completely unnecessary step for regular home cooking.
John should do Turkish Pizza (Lahmacun). Most recipes on YT aren't very easy.
Me at 3:00:
I'm going to ignore the rest of the video and just eat that with some rice or mashed potatoes.
I shall be trying this in the near future.
❤❤❤ this is so creative, I must try it! I’ve missed you
🎉
I have to disagree with Chef. I believe that most people watching his channel will be making their dough from scratch.
I've tried a few recipes for birria and not been happy with the flavors, so I'm hoping your recipe does the trick
As a mexican you can do whatever you want with our food 😂❤❤❤
I vw watched you for almost 10 years now. The best pleasures of life is sitting on a table and dip a bread
Cheers!
I give it a 7/10.
John doing it old school, without putting gloves on to cover up those Wookie Hands
I like how that looks. It's a nice fusion pizza dish. Any leftover consomme would be good with rice. Cheers, Chef John! 👍👍✌️
I have to mention Chef John, if you can find ground bay leaf it's a game changer!
You have lost your genius mind, chef..😳🤯🤔🤣
It's going to be hard to make pizza with that consumme with the beef but I'm sure a tasty pizza dough will be a great delivery system for this tasty recipe…make extra to ladle over pasts sure but also over rice or even mashed potatoes.
My husband just said "chef John tryin to steal my girl" while I watching this🤣
ooh this looks great! unpopular opinion, I don't really get the point of dipping the birria taco in the consommé. the taco is toasted, so it doesn't really absorb anything but the oil, making the dish unnecessarily messy to eat. But in pizza form, it would be so much better!
Very Nice man, I really appreciate this thanks!
Why didn't you cut the pizza with your mezzaluna?
I made your birria and it's an instant house favorite. Why I never thought of this ..
You are a genius, CJ. 🤟
This is crazy, John!
(You should try this with vinaigrette salad dripped over with some lemon)
Lionfield sit down.
What do Italy and Mexico think about this?
Round the outside… Heard it coming, I’m so happy! 😂😂😂
oh this, now this is beautiful
Genius
Looks delicious, but now you’ll be dodging mafia and cartels for the rest of your days.
You are after all, the taqueria of your birria pizza
I haven't watched Chef John in a while, so YT stopped recommending his videos on my homepage, but even them couldn't help themselves putting this miraculous pizza front and center when I opened YT.
This pizza looks illegally delicious!
Your website description says that you publish twice a week. Oh I wish that were so. You might want to update it.
Beautiful. Kind of like a French dip pizza ish thing!
Yum Biria pizza is a huge trend here in Albuquerque. They’re awesome
