Back With A BANG! This Chef Got Knocked Down, But He Got Up Again!
Today I follow up the story of Chris Chatfield – a chef who’s previous restaurant I have eaten at.
Shortly after my visit, the hotel he worked with pulled the rug from under him, and immediately closed his restaurant. Now he’s back at another venue, and boy, is he back with a bang!

Hey Greeno, I have sent you a message on Instagram with those places I told you about. ๐
Good video โค๐โค
Apart from beetroot and pannacotta which I donโt like all of the meals were presented well and looked delicious. The Mill looks amazing too. Glad you and Mrs Greeno enjoyed it. Fabulous review. ๐
Proper faultless food amazing value and location don't know how people are not banging down the door to get in great review greeno
Without knowing why the other place closed down, think it's unfair to comment and say "he was left in the lurch". Sadly places close, especially in the last few years, for many reasons. The good thing, especially with chefs like this, they will always get on and find a new challenge. The prices for such food, faff food as i call it, was fantastic. So someone can eat "posh" at an incredible price. And no service charge. Result. Great place and great location.
Old Gary man having food now with Mark Wiens now? posh posh la de dar lol.
Why do you need mrs Greenos cutlery ?? . . . Couldnt you you the same spoon for the deserts or the same knife and fork for tasting each main . . ๐ค๐ค . Clean cutlery each plate is crazy . . .
Looked blardy nice . . And for the price . Fantastic .
. Take care team๐๐๐ป๐๐ณ๐ฟ
I expected to see Monet waterlillies growing on that beautiful lake at the end of the vlog!
Lovely Greeno!
Aww awesome video Greenooooo!! That place looks amazing!! ๐ and Michael caines, heโs the chef with one hand isnโt it? Not sure, but anyways enjoy this wknd matey we have another heatwave donโt we? โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ sending love as always โคโคโค
Sounds like a fantastic place. The gardens are really nice. Great food and service too. Thanks Greeno.
Good thing fresh Peacock was not on the menu….
Looks a great place and good value for money which makes a refreshing change with this type of place, great review as well ,However
It did tickle me a little when you said how the owners left the chef in the lurch considering how many chefs leave owners in the lurch as soon as theyโve build the customer base up.
Your body language will show us 10 after 10.๐โค๐ฎ๐ณ
That has to be the best value on your channel I have seen.๐
What a find! That looked truly brilliant, and superb value for money. Iโm just sorry I live a long way from there: I must plan a short break in Somerset! Itโs great that the chef found somewhere else to showcase his skills after his previous restaurant was closed (incidentally that hotelโs website still says the restaurant is closed while they look for a new chef).
For God's sake stop saying up my strasse.
Very good, but a bit long for a food show.
Fine dining at pub prices…. What is not to like…
A definite bargain!
Haha my nan thinks I can make that beetroot 'rose' for her.. I'd have liked more mash but I'd probably also order a side of mash on it's own anyhows.. Quality vid as always man…
Bro that's not proper gravy.. jk jk jk ๐
I would risk getting stabbed for one more spoonful of that desert๐
Greeno, don't forget to put your hand behind the product as it will zoom in quicker
Iโm surprised the food is still warm, by the time you finish talking about it.
Iโm salivating looking at it, and you keep waffling on. How do you manage it?
It a shame you are just eating everything the other person will have and the food will be cooler. It would be good if you let the other person say weather there meal was good without you eating both.
What a great food place there Greeno. Looked at Google Maps, isnt this Carpet Country? with Axminster like 30 minutes car drive?
He got knocked down but he got up again. There's a song in there somewhere pal ๐ one thing I will say though he knows what he is doing with the food looks devine.
Cheers mate ๐๐ป๐
Wow this place looks amazing ๐. Also the food looked incredible as well ๐.
The food looked gorgeous. Nice treat for Mrs G too
Good to see you, out with Mrs Greeno, enjoying some quite excellent food, probably the best value fine cuisine in the country. Good to see Chris Chatfield heading up a kitchen again, he thoroughly deserves it.
