First! ❤
I get so excited for new video. Thank for being awesome
I just love to have the time to sit down in the MDR to have breakfast.
I so rarely take the time to eat much more than a piece of fruit or a muffin or something for breakfast in "normal" life that it feels like a luxury to me to relax and have a nice sit down breakfast.
I tend to need a nap afterwards, so I only do it on sea days.
Question: I have had a gastric bypass and can only eat a very small portion of at any one meal. Is there a way to ask for a small portion so as not to waste food or be seen as ungrateful???
but theres some cruise lines that charge the appetizers right? I mean starting from the second appetizer.
Not sur if this also applies to desserts.
Also, if you ask for a soda, say a coke, would they charge you?
Chicken noodle soup is often offered on the kids' menu.
Another great video! Thanks so much!
Carnival has the menu on the app for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for every day of the cruise.
I love to order a baked potato. I've rarely if ever seen on menu.
I have notice on last few cruises for 5 PM dining very few people go… Our waiters the first night had people but next few nights it was who ever showed up that wanted to go to MDR
SIMPLE : HI ELANA…GREAT REPORT 🎉
I GIVE $4 – 5 TIP UPFRONT AT SPECIALTY…BE AMAZED. AS YOU KNOW , HOW WAITER PROVIDES🙏
I already purchased life well cruise but I m unable to find it Can I download it again
Can I bring a purse and an under-seat bag as well as overhead-on a plane
If I am anytime dining.. what does this mean
I agree with not thinking to go to main dining for other than dinner. I went to the breakfast specifically for their chocolate milk (don't judge me even though I'm in 40's keke) and had a lunch in main dining and had the best fries I've ever had in my life (colossal fries on Princess).
My tip was making reservations to the specialty dinning on the first night and sea day. I wanted to start and end with amazing food and I was spot on. The first night it was so quiet and we had the staff check in on us frequently because it was so empty. We felt like royalty. On the sea day we showed up half hour early and it was packed and there was a line outside waiting to be seated. We went to a bar and came back half and hour later and we were seated right away.
I like MDR for the first name guy because I’m eager to meet my servers and table mates.
It was really odd on my last cruise (first time going solo). On my last night there at the MDR, I had fully planned and prepared to pay extra to get lobster for dinner, but the waiter kept emphasizing that it’ll take a while even when I said it’s ok. But since I did wanna make it in time to a show later, I caved and got what was on the menu that night. While it was good, I wished I had gotten the lobster lol. Next time I won’t be persuaded otherwise
My wife and I went on a 16-day cruise to Hawaii. Lots of sea days. Ate most of our meals in the main dining room. Loved it!
My first ever cruise was on Royal Caribbean, and we had reserved main dining time and table with the same two waiters every night. They knew our names, gave us extra of everything we wanted without having to even ask for it.They just knew after our first meal what we liked. The main main waiter, who spoke the best english, told us about himself and why he became a cruise staffer, told us about how they really make almost no money through the cruise line and depend on tips. I really felt it was first class service. And every cruise since has not been as good as that first one as far as service goes. I do really like the layout of the NCL Viva because it felt like places weren't as crowded as the traditionally laid out ship.
Many many thanks, Ilana. Always helpful information presented with a wonderful smile!
One tip when traveling with NCL: If you're traveling by yourself or with a friend, definitely join the solo group! The solo director will make reservations for you in the dining room right after the nightly meet up and you'll dine and meet some amazing fellow cruisers.
Thanks for mentioning Carnival's express dining. I sailed the Venezia on a fully-booked spring break cruise, and dinner was usually right under 30 minutes.
We love going to the main Dinning Room. Every cruise line doesn’t have any problem with dietary foods. My granddaughter has celiac disease and they cater to her. But, like you say they need to know prayer to boarding.
I have to tell you… we just got off of our first cruise on the Mariner of the seas. I watched so many of your videos ahead of time that I was very well prepared and it didn't even feel like I first cruise! I felt like I knew what i was doing lololol We did the buffet once for breakfast and once for lunch but after that went to the MDR for all meals. so good! Our first night at the MDR was good. They ran that ship like a fine tuned machine. we loved it
We refuse to pay 90 to 100 dollars a person to eat in one of the specialty dining options after paying 3000 dollars each for the cruise. It seems the cruise lines are adding more and more of these “specialty “ options while the quality of the included restaurants is getting worse.
Awesome video, thank you so much 😎
