How do you think Brooklyn did? Let me know in the comments, and be sure to check out this video next! https://youtu.be/5EpCd9awduc Uncle Roger Restaurant Review
I use STAR SAN to clean my kitchens apliances in my stainless steel sink. Well the working parts not the electric parts lol. Hot soapy water for the rest. Good clean towls for the dry.
I will never buy a cheese wheel, even if I had the money. In all honesty, if I'm going to spend nearly $1000 on something a big cheese wheel wouldn't even be on the list. Also, seems kind of gimmicky cooking what is essentially mac and cheese inside a big cheese wheel. Great to impress tourists maybe, but definitely not for me. It's also quite amusing BB is sweating buckets just sticking in a few wedges into a chunk of cheese. Me, I would just grab a hammer and tap the wedges in, and I definitely wouldn't need so many.
You'd think Uncle Roger would be pro-lactose intolerant considering Asian peoples tends to be more lactose intolerant than White peoples
Also using the wheel just seems like a waste. Why not just cut off pieces of the cheese off?
Rolling pin for pasta? No.
he sounds as boring as his dad does.. People watch this?!?
im with Unc, im very familiar with Grano Padano, and i dont think theres any way he needed salt, but the truly hilarious part was plating the pasta BEFORE starting on the broc AND a fuckin PECAN PIE, sheer madness.
he didnt do very bad for a rich kid tho, i would have made most of the same mistakes in his place, but then theres no way in hell id have the bollocks to film it and put it on the internet
8:05 my first time hearing this guy cuss😭😭
I Hate Chees Or rather, cheese.hates me It gives me stomach aches for three days.
I'm not lactose intolerant, I drink a lot of milk and yogurt is no problem, but cheese causes real problems.
But what he's doing, a thousand-dollar cheese and just a little bit of pasta, clearly shows that they don't live in the same world, AS nomel People.
Hey James I had a weird moment where I couldn’t view your ❤, comment. I don’t know if it was deleted or I said something inappropriate, if that is so ….😢 I am sorry
Even has a kid now
Great review, Thanks James!
There is zero chance I'll ever watch a video from that kid, there are thousands of youtube chefs more deserving, working with next to nothing, using their mobile phones and budget ingredients making great, authentic or inventive food.
This kid offers nothing but his name and he's trying to buy success.
Seriously, his channel can go in the sea
You swore!!!! Ha! Loved that.
Uncle Roger just reacted to Gary's video. He's definitely been watching your videos – time to DM for a collab
And he's lowered his prices 😂
Yet out of all the deficiencies lactose intolerant people are the only if not few that still eat and love what they are supposed to steer away from and be fine even if it probably going to end with longer trip to bathroom.
my first job was edwardo's pizza wagon. we made our own blend of ground cheese for the pizza. we would take 4 blocks of mozzarella about 4"x 4"x12", then we cut a 2" thick wheel of provolone cut from a log that was about a food in diameter and 3ft long. what we used to cut that wheel, was a 2 handed cutter we just put our weight behind it. the 4 logs and wheel went into a grinder fun stuff.
I need your help, Uncle Roger got scared by Insects fried rice, it's look scary and please review it let's see what happened, this dishes is very scary, let's see if I'm showing you the truth and I'm right!!!
I think I saw this video over a year ago maybe, can't remember where, still a great one none the less on how to make a crazy dish from a price perspective anyways
import(ATION) tax 🙂
Hard cheesetypes like parmesan, gouda and others don't have lactose in them, it depends on how long they mature.
Love the fact that you watch video with pencil. That's a pro.
I have lactose issues but still eat them anyway. Life's too short without cheese.
I wouldn't buy a big ass cheese wheel to make this. Also.. where can you even store it? In the fridge? On the counter?
Some pasta sounds good though.
I love how Uncle Roger started out as just a comedian complaining about food, and now he's the expert on all things food! 🤣
A fair effort by the kid considering he grew up without having to lift a finger if he didnt want to.
But yeah, Grana Padano was an odd choice, not like money is an issue.
Just another rich spoilt individual that wouldn't even be anywhere in life without the nepotistic poncing of his fathers fame, which is far and away not that important in the grand scheme of things. If you had the bank balance of these people you'd have that kitchen too. But you are like most people hard working and genuine, not like these spoilt little rich kids.
You are correct James, you don't "need" the butter, but when was a "need" relevant to flavor? Everything is better with butter.
That’s basically how I see it too. I love great food, and I’ll sometimes pay more for smaller portions if the food is really worth it. But most of the time, if one place serves slightly less impressive but still good food in a much more satisfying portion, especially for the same price or cheaper, I’ll choose that. For me, food has to satisfy both the palate and the belly. That’s why fine dining usually isn’t for me: the portions often feel designed to satisfy the palate, not the appetite.
mmm. it’s really good. 😑
The fact that he is from a wealthy family is irrelevant, but I can't help wondering what happened to the rest of the cheese wheel and we should all be doing our best to reduce food waste, no matter if we can afford it or not.
It is obvious that Brooklyn Beckham is interested in cooking and is doing well, but I must say that I'm not particularly impressed by the dish itself. The Italian cuisine is based on the idea of using a few ingredients with flavours that marry well, even if the sauce or ragù may cook for hours. That's the sacrifice for a hearty meal and they do know the noble art of using everything they possibly can to avoid waste.
Nothing against the boy personally, but I really can't stand the "cheese wheel pasta" .. it's such a waste, a very shameless gimmick that preys on the egos of rich tourists. There's nothing traditional about it, either. Historically, the chances are the practice is likely to have been invented within the last 50 years, probably around the economic bubble of the 80s, developed as a tourist gimmick. I believe excess makes for poor cooking. And Uncle Roger is right when he says "It's just rich people mac-and-cheese" but with one correction — real rich, fine-dining folk don't eat something like that. It's more like noveau-rich thing.
I'm not saying that's necessarily bad — but I am saying noveau-rich preferences tend to fall into excess, and excess just cheapens things.
rolling pin used in india to whack kids! hell yea everything
