The Sketchiest Hot Dog in The World

The most dangerous hot dog in the world comes from an LA street cart at 2am.
It’s 2am in LA, the bars just closed, and you’ve had a few too many martinis. A crowd starts forming around a woman with a questionable looking push cart, a sheet tray loaded with bacon wrapped hot dogs, onions, peppers, and jalapenos, powered by a single Sterno flame. This is the LA Danger Dog, the undisputed late night food of Los Angeles, and I’m bringing it home.
In this video I’m recreating the iconic Martinez style Danger Dog from scratch. Crispy bacon wrapped hot dogs cooked low and slow on the griddle, onions and peppers charred in that same bacon fat, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos dust for that signature crunch, and every sauce you’d find at 2am in LA. It’s safer than it sounds and just as good as it looks.
This is the Danger Dog, made at home.

Can't wait to try it.!!!
THAT LOOKS YUMMY! THANKS FOR THIS 🤤🤤🤤
I’m a simple man. If that’s a Sonoran dog I eat it. I immediately recognized it from the thumbnail. Oops. It’s not. Look up Sonoran dog.
Brother, you have given me something real here.
I was 2 out of 3 for throwing up after having one of these in the early to mid 2000’s when I lived in Hollywood. Never again! But I might rock with this one!
Seriously why produce vomit?
I see people cooking these dogs all the time on Tik Tok. An aluminum sheet tray loaded with bacon dogs and peppers/onions
feed me! please!
No to the cheeto dust…
LA dog lmao
This is how you lose subs
Love it!!! Is the way that we eat the hot dogs here in Hermosillo, México.
Love the videos man! If you're looking for requests… how about a shrimp po'boy!! Would love to see you get your cajun on (edit after searching the channel…. the youtube home chef 🐐appears to have no videos for po'boys, jambalaya, or gumbo… SIR! I sense an opportunity 🦐🎉)
Have you ever tried hot dog wrapped in mozzarella wrapped in ground beef wrapped in bacon?
Hot Cheetos go on just about everything.
wtf u been?
I know this is a variation of a Sonoran dog. But I would really love to see you do a Sonoran dog as well. I enjoy them every time I'm in Tucson! Thank you for your videos!

I hate to break it to you, but that came from Tijuana, but still delicious
i never like so much sauce that every bite requires another couple paper towels to wipe my hands….
If one needs drama or theatrics to sell there product. That means the product doesnt stand on its own and is garbage.
FYI I watch all ur videos the day they drop…NOTHING SHOWING IN MY FEED FOR 2 MONTHS FROM YOU….(Yes I'm subbed, like that even matters.)
make mofongo w/ hot cheetos!! And sirachia goes on EVERYTHING!!! NOT JUST DOGS
You’re over complicating the hot dog cook. First hotdogs are not raw, they don’t need cooking so using raw bacon is not the best way. Next time wrap the hotdogs in a spicy sopressata salami slices just like you did with the bacon and airfry for 4 min on 400F. It’s easier, you get the same effect of a crispy outer coating and it tastes better.
that griddle will also set ur smoke alarms of twice as fast, bro don't miss the best feature!! ❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
This is bunk compared to a Sonoran hot dog .. whoch this is just a rip off of
Northern Ireland viewer here. Unfortunately we don't have good hot dog sausages here, however your's look amazing
When I was growing up I was told that you opened the package of wieners, cooked them and put them in a bun with condiments. That is a hotdog. At 72, I still call it like that.
Looks fantastic 👌
Satisfying food doesn’t have to be complicated, fortunately I live in an area where all of the ingredients are available.
Thanks Brother 👍✌️☮️💙
Oh my heavens ❤ That looks so yum! I'm for sure making these… minus the cheetos. But I definitely will be putting chili crunch oil on it. It's drool 🤤 city over here right now!
You are the best…
Growing up in San Diego we called this a Tijuana dog( or a TJ dog). The hot cheetos is a nice touch though, gonna have to try that.
It’s not so much the hotdog that gets you, but the mayonnaise that’s been baking in the socal sun that gets you😉. The City realized that enforcement of food safety regulations was imposible and the pro migrant community rallied in favor of these vendors. At least now you can get your salmonella dog from someone who is not fearing their business being taken away.
Total maestro this is pure art
We just called em Mexican Hot Dogs.
Is this just not a variation on a Sonoran dog with worse buns? No hate, love your videos, but being from Arizona it's kinda weird to see something so similar but doesn't look as good as what we have.
Brazilian Hot Dog enters the chat: "Oh that's cute. But not sketchy enough".
Your hotdog rolls/buns are a failure point. Street dogs in the West and SW are made on what's called a "Bolillo bun"… they are a yeast based roll/bun, but with slightly sweet flavor. Potato rolls are NOT an appropriate replacement. There's nothing you are gonna get that's close to that on the east coast. So, closest you are gonna get is just a regular ballpark brand roll … and be sad that you aren't here with us.
Thank you
Thank you for making this video!
I'd smash a few of those so fast. Only thing I'd change about the recipe is I'd spread some garlic mayo in the bun and toast the inside of it.
I'm a native son of NYC, so it pains me to admit it, but the LA "sonoran" street dog is leaps and bounds better than a NYC street "dirty water" dog.
1:11 YES! Best hot dogs in Manhattan!
