Same story everywhere :: Bad policies usually start as good, helpful ideas that eventually become harmful because they are expanded too far or kept active long after the original problem has been solved.
Indian home cooked food is good enough if you do 10 hours of hard labour a day. It's just that now we longer do that.
I'd like to check if prevalence of diabetes in manual labourers is lower than the average Indian.
Yeah!!! tell that to women in the family
Great job Ashok
This is surgical strike / gorilla attack on "ghar ka khana" … you will not be spared Ashok 🙂
Iska wokness badhta jaa raha hai … By assuming every home cooks like he thinks
good one
can we also do a snacks video.. specially the fucking bhujia and mixture and all that
Strongly disagree
Tradirional Indian family food mandatorily has dal, vegetable, curd, chapati, salad (onion or tomato or cucumber or anything), pickle….. please do not replace them with today's modern families who hardly cook meal & find neutritions in maggi, bread & pizza…..
Idha veetla sonna thitranga boss!! Sonna puriyaradhu illa, A1C 10 ku poiduchu da summa idli, dosa, kozhukatta, sambar nu thingadhenga na enga kekaranga…
Thank you.. Very informative..
Don't forget indigo, while opium was exported to china to addict them, cotton and indigo was also forced upon Indian farmers to grow and then forced to export all of it to Manchester, England to provide cheap materials to British textile industry which India was then forced to buy instead of being able to grow food or mill our own clothes, completely destroying both industries, de-clothed our ancestors and starve them to death.
That's why Gandhiji started the Charkha Movement so that every Indian can get locally produced cloth. The importance of it was so vital at the time that the Charkha was included in the original Indian flag by Gandhi…

Why Indian politicians still following British. What is the purpose of freedom then.
Recently American minister changed food pyramid. What health minister doing, Encouraging veg, high carbs diet on the name of religion 😄
In India Education system still under the influence of religion. They won't get freedom
Great insights and sensible, practical advice! I have done much of these steps for a long time, but good to have reminders to keep improving! Thanks!
The food pyramid we learnt is in the school is inverted in the last ten years 😅
Wrong again blaming mother cooked food. It is the modern farming and lack of nutrition in soil is main culprit. Then all the ingredient is processed in mill.
माँ, बहन, बीबी का बनाया हुवा खाना छोड़ के होटल का और फैक्ट्री का बनाया हुवा खाना उससे ख़राब है।🤔🙄
🎯 ❤️👏👏👏🙏🙂
It is very easy to eat almost the same kinda food you've always eaten if you just adjust stuff accordingly. I eat pizza, burger, pasta, noodles, and dal/rajma/chole, and i still lose weight and feel fine, because i make it at home and control all the aspects of it. Like, if i'm eating noodles, i know that one pack won't fill me up but instead of making 2 packs, i take 100gm tofu and mix it with soy sauce, vinegar, gochujang and it goes great with noodles and add protein to meal too. When i'm eating rajma/chole with rice, i'm a sucker for it and used to end up taking more. But now, Taking grated/dice cut carrot and cucumber with it makes me full, and I complete the rest of the protein in another meal.
All it takes is 1-2 week, after that it becomes a familiarity to eat it that way and you wouldn't want to go back to old ways.
I would suggest people to do at least few weeks of calories calculation. A food scale is like about 200 rupees. You can stop doing it after few weeks and start eyeballing again if you want, but it puts into perspective how much you're eating what.
And if you DO want to eat something just for the taste and want to go crazy on it, reserve saturday and sunday for it. But i bet when you'd be so used to eating a balanced diet and seeing good effects of it too, you'd rarely want to eat too much in the weekend.
And make time for a walk/run or gym. I hate that we are used to neglect it and make it a secondary thing if we get time. Instead, it should be a priority.
Thanks for making these videos appreciate your help in educating the older generation
Issue is vegetarian very low amino acids & protein but good fiber. When plant based 10gm protein of 100 gm jawar bajara is cooked that reduces entire nutrition to 3gm. Hence any food doesn't fulfill daily requirement of 60 gm. Only steaming or raw can preserve. We try to accommodate as much as raw jawar, bajra, flaxseed, chia seeds, oats, chickpeas, udad & masoor, rajma beans in idali batter which completes our 60 gm protein requirement & same taste.
Why are you showing distorted map of India?? You have shown a part of Kashmir in Pakistan. If it's not deliberate, correct it immediately.
6:44 "and then the British arrived…" "When someone says that sentence, usually nothing good happens afterwards" 😂😂 rofl! One for the books!
I hope you one day look up calories and how its a rather odd unit to measure our metabolic expenditure. Its a rabbit hole most find very hard to communicate.
What about Asian food Japanese Ramen and Sushi, Chinese food, Korean food also has rice and noodles ? Young Indian generation is eating Asian, Italian and Mexican food more than Indian food.
The last sentence of the video is the best. Good one. I just need your take on the fats. Fats loaded with calories but its least to spike the insulin. Hyper Insulin being the main culprit of diabetes wouldn't it be beneficial to keep blood insulin down. Fats become dangerous when consumed with carbs as is the case with most of the home cooked food. This is from the books of Dr. Ben Bikman and Dr. Robert Lustig. I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks for a great video.
Main reason behind INDIA type 2 diabetes is refined OIL which Indians started using in 20th Centuary after Invasions 😐 before that we use to rely on Ghee and Kachi Ghani which is much better low type 2 diabetes risk
