Salahodeen Abdul-Kafi left a 14-year career in tech to open Kafi BBQ, a halal Texas barbecue restaurant in Irving, Texas. In its first year, Kafi made about $2.3 million in revenue without serving pork, one of the highest-margin items in traditional Texas barbecue.
Kafi makes everything from scratch, including halal wagyu brisket, Iraqi-inspired sausage, beef-bacon Texas twinkies, fresh bread, and pistachio desserts. But running a halal barbecue spot comes with major challenges, including high meat costs, custom equipment, delicate lamb casings, and a menu built around expensive ingredients.
Still, Salahodeen believes that one day, his joint could earn a Michelin star.

If I’m in Dallas in the future, I’m coming here for sure. I’m not Muslim but pork tends to upset my stomach, especially pork products like sausage or ham, so I try to avoid it. Halal restaurants have introduced me to all sorts of delicious new dishes which happen to be porkless. ❤

my first and only time i visited texas, I made sure to go to their place. The BBQ is texas quality, but the thing that blew my mind was the Wagyu Pomegranate-Glazed Burnt Ends. By far the best thing I've ever tasted in my life.

Halal is the worst and most torterous way of taking life of an animal
To cut jugular vein of an animal and hanging it and seeing blood seeps out of the animal as it tortures is monstrosity at his highest.
It was earlier done because in earlier time in deserts there wasn't water available to clean animal so they did this.
And i am sure no Animal is grass fed or living in ani humane condition.
They don't follow sharia when it says that you can't make interest on capital or theifs both hands are to be cut.
But when it comes to polygamy, torturing animals and human suddenly they become extremists.
Totally indicative of the type if religion who follows such customs.
