THIS HUGE MEDIEVAL BANQUET CHALLENGE HAS NEVER BEEN BEATEN SOLO! | BeardMeatsFood

In this week’s episode I’m in Quebec City at a charming little tavern named La Chope Gobeline…a medieval themed restaurant and bar which offers up an eating challenge called La Duel De La Rapiere!

Brave armies of two are invited to sink three half pound steak skewers (presented on miniature daggers), three sausages, three pork loins, bacon, tomatoes, peppers, one whole onion, a pile of old fashioned chips, an almost equally large pile of cooked barley, a fried puck of cheese, four bread rolls, an entire stuffed pepper and one whole rotisserie chicken…do so in one sitting and you win a tankard which entitles you to a bunch of privileges, if you present it to the innkeeper on future visits…

A few teams have managed to get the better of it, but thus far, no single man, woman or child hath been warrior enough to conquer it solo…but if you do…you win a real life flipping sword!

  1. Hail and well met fellow fopdoodles! I’m incredibly grateful to find you back again for another instalment…a particularly special one…because this might well be my favourite restaurant I’ve visited all year…

Sure, it’s a long one, but then, it is a challenge meant for two people…I hope you enjoy it…I know my organs didn’t…and I’d be tickled pink to see you again next Sunday knight…

Thanks for watching, lots of love, your old mate, BMF (d’Honorable Goinfre de la Chope) ❤️

  2. Had to pause at the first bite to comment. Been keeping up with your channel for a while now, yet to see you lose a challenge. Not saying I’m doubting the Beard but if you remain undefeated after this video you are a true legend. Oooskado or however you say it lol

  3. Dear ALL women… those centered nose rings are FUGLY!!!! They do not improve the looks of anybody!!! Please stop getting these ugly-ass rings!!!!

  4. Congrats, honestly didn't think you'd finish it. Looks like a really cool place, I'd love to travel to eat there.

  5. You British have no room to talk when it comes to spelling you spell all sorts of stuff wrong like aluminum. LOL

  6. From the outside it reeeeeeeally looks like you're going to be turned into meat rather than tantalised with them.

  7. Absolutely flabbergasted at this mans ability to eat a cooked onion by itself right off the bat but not a mushroom

  8. Since I’m from PEI 🇨🇦 I would like to know when we see the you tackle the the John Candy challenge video I know you had visited earlier in the year

  9. i wanted tro do thyings like this but i got gastroparesis 3 years ago and can barely eat solid food now

  10. you should drag BOB up there. looks like the sort of platter he could mow through.

  11. This was genuinely one of your best videos I have seen and I've been watching for a few years now. The banter between the Inn Keep and the Tavern goers was perfection, and getting commentary the whole time about the food and such was just fantastic. I would love to seem more videos like this, but like you said it would be nice if more food challenges focused on more/better food with no time limit. Fantastic job Beard, and let me know next time you are heading through Ontario, Oregon so I can get a pic with you!

  12. Nice !! good job 🙂 But I could you visit my city and not notice me !!! lol – Welcome to Quebec City, and hope you come back !!

  13. No way you were in Québec and i haven't heard of that before. That's so cool! Didnt know they have a challenge at La Chope Gobeline.

  14. I watch every week and that was one of the more impressive challenges you've done. The sheer volume of food consumed in an hour is remarkable.

  15. That looked and felt (from my couch point of view) like the hardest challenge to date. Respect. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
