  1. Not surprised Filipino food ended up at your childhood cookouts. That's what we all bring during any celebration or gathering lol.

  2. Love learning about different food and its history from you. Love that you share how much you enjoy eating it with us even more. ❤

  3. I think this is the first time I've ever watched a video within the first hour from a channel I don't know. Great job! Also, love your top!

  4. We missed you! As a filipino myself it was nice to see you get a bunch of different foods and I love daly city!!!!

  5. This channel consistently knocks it out of the park.

Your knowledge of and experience with various cultures of the Bay is so natural and authentic. As someone very sensitive to performative and flavor-of-the-month behaviors (which is becoming way too common), I appreciate the deep dive into the roots and evolution of local food and flavor. You're not chasing the next trend; you're documenting food culture as it is. Love it.

Your excitement for food is palpable and contagious, and I am all for it.

    Keep doing what you're doing!

  6. You hit all my favorite spots. If you haven't tried it yet get some Senorita bread from Starbread Filipino Bakery. My coworkers call it "crack" bread. It's better than any donut.

  7. I'm more impressed you're at Chibog and it's empty without lines out the door. When you come back in the area hit up Ling Nam for their food and bakery next door.

  8. 4:05 Kadoks is also right across but y'all didn't go there, food tubers always skip them and Red Ribbon idk why 😢

The Kadoks fam are my distant relatives thru my niece and also thru one of her moms cousins from her moms dads side

The owners eldest daughter is one of my friends since kindergarten. It's so cool that I'm related to her now, i call her my cousin 🙂

Fck Chibogs to hell tho because there's a guy who works there that was rude to my mom when she ate there with her friends

  9. My favorite life development as of late has been that I started working in a communal kitchen/dining area people book for parties. I've already had 3 filipino families offer me food. Telling them I'm filipino is a cheat code for a free meal lol. One of them made bbq pork skewers just like that and it was one of the best bites i've taken in my life

  10. Never been to Daly City but really liked the choices you made and felt like I was able to get where you were coming from. Great context and comparisons. Definitely gonna try those spots if I'm ever there.

  11. Salivating with all the good food! This was such a fun watch as a Fil-American from SD. Informative too and amazing graphics! I first saw your Vietnamese food crawl in San Jose and I subscribed after. Wishing you the best with your channel and looking forward to see it grow!

  12. 0:24 woooow this is THE SPOT!! you can always smell the bbq driving passed this place. and Jollibee near there as well 😂

  13. oh damn.. I'm hungry now.. craving longsilog and tapsilog.. with sliced tomatoes.. 😅❤👍🤘😊

  14. To the owner of that restaurant- plz cook your longganisa into a medium CHARRED to have a perfect crisp texture bite and enhance the umami taste😊😊😋…
It looks more appetizing than the usual you do..

  15. 1 you eat meat, 2 you eat pork, 3 you like fat! Which means Filipino food = instant S-Tier, LOVE THAT FOR YOU!
