Barcelona has become so much like a theme park for tourists due to gentrification that I wouldn't even know what to recommend (food wise). Enjoy the city!! It's very hot tho, these days!! Drink plenty of water please!

I currently live in Barcelona and I can recommend some nice places:
– Cerveseria Catalana: all kinds of tapas; all delicious and quite affordable for Barcelona.
– Palmer Restaurant: my absolute favorite place; mediterranean restaurant with an amazing view (their Tostada de maiz and Tartar de salmon are to die for. For dessert you need to have Espuma de coco).
– Euskal Etxea Taberna: a very nice bar for pinchos
