A Tiny Istanbul Shop Making a Huge Turkish Street Food Classic

Inside a popular 24-hour street food restaurant in Istanbul, one of Turkey’s most loved and controversial street foods is prepared all day and night.

This video shows different varieties of Turkish kokoreç, a famous street food made from lamb intestines. It is served both inside fresh bread as a sandwich and on a plate with spices, vegetables and traditional Turkish flavors.

Turkish people love this food for its strong smell, rich flavor and satisfying grill process. The smell is so powerful that you can notice it from far away before you even see the shop.

Although this dish is loved in Turkey, similar lamb intestine street foods are restricted or controversial in some parts of Europe. In Istanbul, however, kokoreç remains one of the most iconic late-night and everyday street foods.

If you enjoy Turkish street food, Istanbul food, grill videos, street food sandwiches, local restaurants and real food production processes, this video is for you.
