Tucson: The Best 23 Miles of Mexican Food in the US? | Pati’s Mexican Table S8 E13
In this episode of Pati’s Mexican Table, I head to Tucson, Arizona — which claims to be the best 23 miles of Mexican food in the US — to find out what happens to Mexican food when it crosses the border.
I visit restaurants and meet local chefs to get a deeper understanding of Mexican food in America. How do different cultures connect and shape the food we eat? And what is this Sonoran hot dog everyone is raving about?
I don’t think there’s one answer to that question, but I do know it’ll be a lot of fun tasting my way through Tucson to learn a little more.

Anita's is the best
Now I'm looking at maybe doing a food road trip to Tuc-sahn 🙂
Thirty minutes south of Tucson, in the town of Tubac is a restaurant worthy of an entire episode…Elvira's. There are countless amazing stories to this place.
I'm so full, watching you eat the many wonderful foods! Are the food vendors at the San Xavier Mission there in certain months and days of the week?
What a fantastic little tour through this little Old Pueblo we call home. Thank you for sharing, and hope you had the best time ever while you were here!
Before watching this episode I noticed one scene in the preview and it looked like Tubac.

Happy 4th of July, Pati! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎇🎇🎇🎆🎆🎆
I always enjoy when you do more going places, than when you cook in your kitchen.
The content Patti puts out is so satisfying. She respects the history, the culture, the people and of course the food. Damn shame more people do not watch this incredible lady.
