I Ranked the Food on Every European Cruise Line (The Winner Shocked Me)

American cruise lines get the headlines. European cruise lines get the recipes that existed before cruise ships did.

What You Will Learn
– Why MSC’s pastry at breakfast shatters on the outside while the ricotta filling stays soft inside
– Why Viking’s is marinated for 72 hours in aged balsamic before hitting the grill
– Why Cunard’s beef Wellington in Queens Grill is carved tableside like dinner theatre from another century
– Why Silversea’s SALT program changes every menu based on exactly where the ship is sailing that week
– Why Ponant brings Ducasse-guided French gastronomy to expedition ships at the edge of the map
– Why Explora’s fresh oysters at Emporium Marketplace say the kitchen is not cutting corners
– Why Cunard’s afternoon tea in Queens Room requires white gloves fine China and a ballroom setting
– Why Costa’s Archipelago twelve-course tasting menu was built by three Michelin-starred chefs together
– Why Silversea’s serves handmade pasta that clings instead of drowns in sauce
– Why Viking’s Chef’s Table surrenders control and lets the kitchen build dinner with chapters
– Why MSC Yacht Club’s private restaurant puts luxury dining inside a mass-market ship

  1. May I please have a Sfogliatelli and a scoop of coffee gelato. I am perfectly happy with combining that for brunch or with smuggling the Sfogliatelli out of breakfast if the gelato is not available until later.
