Loving these videos. Spain's cuisine is so fascinating. I'm going to have to bite the bullet soon, take the 50 min drive & drop the 💵on a place in my city I've been wanting to try & heard friends raving about for years. The restaurant is ran by an esteemed chef from Spain as well

That's the real Basque cake, the other cheese one is called cheese cake but it is a popular cake for turists. Also here we say "hill tha" for gilda or like "he+ L + tha" . If you plan to go my humble Town (Sukarrieta Urdaibai) which is the biggest Biosfere reserve in Basque Country I could give you a free tour, I have all afternoons free, just answer here.
Would love to see you visit southern Jutland, Denmark. To get traditional cake tabel/feast, gravy burger and pork belly with potatoes and parsley sauce.

I like your vídeos about our food in the basque country, but, although I'll be a downer, we basques prefer that you tourists don't come so massively, it's impactinting the daily live of locals, not so much in Bilbao, but in Donostia…. and it's getting worse in Bilbao, in Dosontia locals can't go to their pintxos like they were used to go ten years ago…. Everything is getting pricier and pricier because of tourism…Please

Both Bilbao and San Sebastián have great places to eat at affordable prices. There are also a few tourist traps disguised as traditional spots. BUT Bilbao is a much larger city, with a large commuter and migrant population, so there are far more places that blend different cuisines or experiment with new dishes. San Sebastián is more tourism-oriented and therefore more limited by what tourists expect.
You forgot to taste the typical Bilbao's ButterCake, delicious! Has olvidado probar el bollo más famoso de Bilbao, el bollo de mantequilla!
