  2. Omg somehow I’ve never seen this episode and I’ve seen damn near every one! Thank you for the upload! Skip to 39:20 for a real tear jerker moment 🥺 Gordon can be harsh but at his core he’s a wonderful man who just tries to bring out the best he sees in people.

  3. This episode first aired on January 15, 2009. Following Gordon Ramsay's high-profile makeover of Cafe 36 in La Grange, Illinois, the restaurant struggled to maintain momentum and closed in April 2009, shortly after the show aired. Owners Terry and Carol Gilmer subsequently filed a lawsuit blaming the production for their failure, which was dismissed by a judge, prompting their retirement from the industry. Today, the space at 22 Calendar Avenue is successfully operated under new ownership as an Argentinian and Mexican eatery called Empanadus.

  4. Fire the guy pointing out the harsh truth, but keep the guy who is running your business into the ground. What a moron. He’s lucky he didn’t get an apron and a fist in the face

  5. I will never understand why people who have never worked in a restaurant dream to own one. It is one of the riskiest businesses you could invest in and one of the most labor-intensive types of work you can do. Like, how do these people even dress themselves with that level of foresight?
