We have the California Red abalone here, which have to be at least 7 inches to havest. Unfortunately, abalone fishing has been halted for several years due to overfishing.
I have several great recipes gor😮cooking it, though my favorite way to prepare is skewered with jalapenos and cheddar cheese cubes dipped in tempura and deep fried. I also make it grilled whole with lemon and butter. What a wonderful taste of the sea.

Hola Dawen. La saga continúa. Estoy viendo el vídeo y me llama la atención lo que tú llamas vieira. Aquí eso es un mejillón gigante. La vieira es distinta y se cocina en su propia concha, a modo de plato. Y a modo informativo , la concha de la vieira es el símbolo de los peregrinos que hacen el camino de Santiago de Compostela. La usaban para beber. Como siempre un ejército de gente para cocinar una gran cantidad de platos diferentes. Y tiene que haber mucha coordinación para que salga tan bien. Siempre me impresiona ver cuando haces el reportaje de las bodas, y este también. Fenomenal. Un saludo desde España

Frutos do mar…que vontade de comer esses camarões enormes,vieiras nunca comi ,devem ser muito boas.
Tudo é cuidadosamente embalado e preparado preocupando -se em manter o sabor.
