24 Hours Surviving on Bangladesh Street Food 🇧🇩
In this video, I spend a full day exploring some of the best food Bangladesh’s capital has to offer, from legendary breakfast dishes to iconic biryani and street food.
The day starts at Amania Hotel & Restaurant, where I arrive at 8am to try one of my favourite Bangladeshi dishes, nihari, before walking through Old Dhaka to enjoy bakarkhani with a cup of tea.
I then head to Haji Biryani, only to find it closed, so I stop at Beauty Lacchii & Faluda for a lemonade, lassi and faluda before returning later for a Haji Biryani vs Hanif Biryani comparison.
The food tour continues with roadside tea, an incredible beef chaap at Bismillah Kebab Ghar, my first time trying fuchka with some friendly locals, and finishes with a rickshaw ride across the city to Mama Haleem in Kalabagan for a bowl of what many consider Dhaka’s best haleem.
Bangladesh continues to impress me with its incredible food and welcoming people.

Hello Hugh, I appreciate that you like to pay for what you buy but the Bangladeshi people are very hospitable people and they feel deeply offended if you turn down their hospitality. So, if they still refuse after the second offer to take your money, show that you appreciate their generosity by thanking them and leaving. If you really feel that you need to pass on their generosity, when you see a poor person, a beggar, give the money to them.
Get out of Dhaka to see the real Bangladesh!!
My advice for anyone who wants to explore bangladesh : Dont wast your time in Dhaka , if you want to enjoy explore cities other than dhaka , dhaka is just a hustling bustling busy city for work , study , healthcare , the real beauty of bangladesh lies in the other part of BD❤

The street water business is dodgy. Chances are most of these waters are tap water.
Bangladesh have general stores everywhere. And tea stalls. And all kinds of food and bakery. And most of them sell good brand water.
