Without watching this video… it looks like a bunch of pieces glued together… Now I’ll watch… 🤔🙄
Family favorite, been selling and cooking them for the last 20 years.
With your permission, 5 minutes per side for the first 3 then 3 minutes on the last, 15 minutes rest.
Up till 2 years ago in New England they were $9.99 lb, now $16.99, secrets out☹️
What part of the cow is this from? Looks like pork tenderloins
Ok, first… U need a Bbq… second… doesn’t look like a lean cut of Beef so I’m thinking from somewhere around the stomach area of the cow… I know they eat that down in Central America so I’m guessing Costco thinks they have broken us as to where we can’t afford a decent cut of beef that we will eat 💩 and not say anything as long as it’s from a cow
Well done! Kidding! Awesome video as expected! Love from Jim&Ellen Napa California USA
This is what I got from google – Teres Major steak, also known as the shoulder tender, is a small, tender cut of beef from the chuck section of a cow, often compared to filet mignon for its tenderness and flavor. It typically weighs less than a pound and is known for its rich beefy taste, making it a great choice for grilling or pan-searing.
I’ll have to look out for these steaks at Costco. Did you get the lemon pasta at Costco also?. You always make cooking look so simple and delicious! Thanks for sharing. 🤗🇨🇦
Wow that's a lot of steak for the money! After you got them cleaned up, they looked really good. Good job cooking them and looked to be really tender and juicy. I really like the side dish that you made, I like everything you put in it. You won't have to buy any steaks for a while. Hope everything is going well your way, things here have been so hot that you can't really do anything without sweating terribly. Thanks for showing us a different cut of meat, always great to see your post. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🤗🐝🌺🌻💮🦋
In my area those are called Baja Filets. Very good on the BBQ
What is the name of that knife?
My costco has boring cuts 🙁
Back in the day, this cut was referred to as a "mock tender" or "Jewish filet" as a person who eats Kosher would not eat beef from the back half of the animal…anything south of the rib section. This cut comes from the chuck.
sorta looks like smallish tri-tip? maybe?
Aldi's sells this cut of beef, Morton's of Omaha Steakhouse tenderloin filets. They have 2 kinds of marinated loins usually sells for $6.99lb. I stock up when they come in, just make sure to trim off the silver skin. I grill them whole, cut like steaks and cubed for kebobs. It's a tender and delicious cut of meat but definitely not a filet mignon.
Have you tried stilton on steak? My recent brisket was $240 for 20 pounds.
It's seems quite hard to come by, but an excellent cut of beef I reckon, also known as shoulder filet or petit tender. I am jealous!
I've never been able to find any teres major anywhere before, but definitely would have liked to see for myself whether it is the economical tenderloin-like cut it appears to be. And, how is the flavor?
i made your potato salad it was delish .this salad looks very different from any salad i have seen. im going to try it
did you make the compound garlic butter
Did you prefer one cooking method over the other?
Have you ever cooked a steak in a sous vide?
Excellent video.
Specialty online butcher vendors carry these steaks. Less expensive than tenderloin.
Great for grilling.
You didn't use tallow this time.
Thanks for sharing.
Be well.

That looks just as good as all your videos! The pasta looks amazing!
Can you please put a catalog number of this in the video description? I cannot find it online and my costco in california has no idea what I am talking about thank you
back in the 70 s italian butcher shops it was called a collicle right next to the chiken steak that they now call a flat iron steak
it is excellent as beef for the gravy
I buy these at times at The Chef's Store which is non membership for anyone but made for the restaurant business. It's very affordable and usually less than $6. a pound. I buy in smaller quantities and use it for stew meat as it can be tough.
Medium Rare NOT GOOD !!! Medium Well , OKAY !!!! If its STILL MOOING , NOT GOOD !!!!
Another yummy video. Would be nice to see how they turn out on charcoal grill. Thank you.
Raw meat ? As for me cooked until center brown
