FOOD THAT F****! Ep. 125 Neighbourhood restaurants exude a sort of charm you simply don’t get in city centres. Often, this is enough for them to survive. Some deep-fried snacks and a few draft beers should be enough. But when a place takes itself just that little bit more seriously, wonderful things can happen. This is exactly what’s happened here. An impressive CV from head chef Freek Dekker has led to a wonderfully inventive menu. The beef croquettes, served with curry mayo, were unexpectedly crispy and delicious, the fish was fresh, and the prawns were served whole and menacing.
