  1. Bahn mi vs Cubano is the ultimate showdown, every single other sandwich cannot come close to them.

Had a Cubano in Mexico last year with a side of fried plantains and nearly cried it was so good.

  2. Those fried potato burgers are a Staple of nightlife in Southern Ireland, in county Wexford, you have two or three deep fried or spiced Rissoles, with chips Ofcourse after a heavy night of drinking, just smothered in salt and vinegar.

  3. Bacon – I’m having it on a (fairly dark, but not well-fired) crispy morning roll, with a fried potato scone in there too.

I’m a bit of a sucker for a good tomato sandwich – lots of butter, lots of salt, a good crusty bread.

I don’t know if it would be top three – but a Sicilian pane e panelle with crocchè.

For simplicity, a good jambon-beurre is hard to beat …

  4. Crispy pork banh mi is so easy to make at home! Stick the pork in the oven, grate some carrot and marinate it in white vinegar, salt and sugar. Takes about 10 mins, lasts for days/weeks. Then you have delicious banh mi for several days. Crispy roll, butter it then stuff with lots of pork with crispy crackling, carrot, cucumber slices, strips of spring onion (green onion) and coriander (cilantro). Top with kewpie mayo (Japanese mayo). So easy, so delish. Also chicken sandiwiches. Cooked chicken thighs well seasoned, stir in finely sliced celery, parsley, lots of toasted pine nuts and good quality egg mayo. Stuff lots of into some white bread. Can never get enough of it.

  5. Aussie knows nowt….ham hock, mustard, pickled sliced onion and pickled sliced cucumber on a white soft or crusty bap

    Best butty in the world

  6. If you have never heard of it you got to make a DAGWOOD. Just good old stuff your street food from South Africa. Actually I think south african sandwiches vs ausie sandwiches should be a whole video on its own with the next springbok vs wallabies match. We have the gatsby, dagwood, kota and of course the braaibroodjie!

  7. I think you missed the croque-monsieur : good bread, white ham, gruyère bechamel, maybe a hint of Dijon, extra gruyère, grilled

  8. I'm Italian and I do a version of the Cuban with Porchetta and spicy Salame, pickles, Hemmental cheese, mayo.

  9. ranking a lobster roll above a philly cheesesteak is insane. I love lobster but hate mayonnaise so that's a no for me.

  10. I hope you're not engagement baiting by leaving out croque monsieur/ madame! I guess there will be a part 2 with a French fieldtrip for you and Katelyn?
Personally, I am a bit of a basic boy so I'd go with a cheese & tomato (±ham) toastie, a BBQ chicken and chip sandwich (with shitloads of butter and either tomato sauce or aioli), or a solid panini.

  11. Might be too much to ask for but you should check out the sandwich de chola or chola sandwich from Bolivia. With some llajwa (spicy sauce) its really heaven on earth!

  12. Saw the thumbnail and instantly went "OMG IS THAT A BACON BUTTY!?". Im not a particularly patriot person, but when i see someone try a good humble British dish/food item, i cant help but be a lil proud

  13. 10 Sandwiches from around the world…and a few from America. Where is the german Döner Kebab Sandwich? 🙁

  14. The Netherlands is not known for its refined cuisine, but a white bread roll, butter, and chocolate sprinkles is certainly one of the better things.

  15. I believe the best sandwich is the one you would like to eat the most, so your ranking is awesome. For myself being in Texas I would like to rank #1 the brisket foldie with some crispy pickles and red onions. And if your really feeling hungry add some macncheese or fresh slaw. Yummy

  16. There is something to be said about a classic grilled cheese… highly customizable, humble, available globally, super easy, delicious, and withstood the test of time… should’ve been in the list with just how versatile it truly is

  17. You made your bacon bap wrong. Wrong bacon, wrong bread. The only sarnie I put above it is the Vietnamese.

  18. Lookit, i'm not from Philly, but the roast pork with broccoli rabe is better than a cheese steak 6 days a week and twice on Sundays.

have you had a Cubánh Mì? you should try it. it's the best parts of a Cubano and a Bánh Mì

  19. Not provolone on the cheesesteak! Cheez Wiz for life! Hahaha. Also just my opinion, don’t come for me.

  20. I have actually been off bread more or less for ~17 months, but this made me both hungry and eager to test them at home. Going to try couple of those with proper rye bred tho.

  21. Andy, one thing missing from your Philly cheesesteak is the chop – use two metal spatulas to chop and pull the meat into the bread shape before adding cheese. You really need all that meaty surface area from chopping the steak for this one.

  22. Love your videos. Keep it up! Ok, not sure I would place these above any of your top ten, but what about breakfast sandwiches? Bacon egg and cheese being a simple one. Or perhaps a video on breakfasts in general?
